Calm peacefull location, an old world charm that is not found now, extremely friendly, courteous and helpfull staff and excellent food. Food I want to make a special mention of those who understand Kerala food was a work of art in itself, both in taste and presentation

"Don’t choose Raviz Kadavu for any special event — beautiful location, but the staff and management are a complete failur"

We hosted my sister’s pre-wedding events at Raviz Kadavu, Calicut, over two days, and what should have been a happy family celebration turned into constant stress because of the hotel’s unprofessional and careless attitude. We contacted the hotel months in advance because we had VIP guests coming from across India and abroad, and we wanted them to experience Kerala at its best. Sadly, Raviz Kadavu showed us the worst side of hospitality. Right from the beginning, the sales assistant Anushri was extremely unprofessional — poor response time, no respect for timelines, and a very unfriendly attitude. For almost every request, the immediate response was a blunt “NO,” with no effort to help or suggest alternatives. This behaviour itself should have been a warning sign. The biggest mess was room allotment. We clearly informed the hotel multiple times — and even visited twice in person — that we needed ground-floor rooms for elderly guests and people with serious medical conditions, especially since the standard room block has NO LIFT. We also shared a detailed rooming list asking for adjacent rooms. Despite all this, on arrival we were shockingly allotted upper-floor rooms. This led to heated arguments with the front office, guest relations staff Anu George, and the duty manager. After almost 2 hours of delay, they finally gave us just two ground-floor rooms, which was completely insufficient. Elderly guests with knee issues and medical problems had no choice but to climb stairs for two days. This is unacceptable for any hotel, let alone a so-called 5-star property. During one of these arguments, Anu George even had the audacity to tell my father that I was “very rude.” Imagine saying that to paying guests who are only upset because of your hotel’s mistakes. Zero empathy, zero professionalism. As if this wasn’t enough, on the second day, the sales team — Anushri — started arguing with us about the pricing of a service that was already agreed via email and had already been done the previous day. They suddenly claimed the rate was wrong and tried to charge a higher amount, without any written communication. No apology, no accountability — only rude behaviour and arguments during one of the busiest and most important days of our lives. My father had to step in and argue instead of enjoying his daughter’s wedding events. And finally, the most disappointing part — the General Manager, Mr. Biju Palet. Despite everything we went through, he made no effort whatsoever to come and address the situation or listen to guests who paid and suffered through two days of poor service. However, it’s very clear that he has enough time to come out to welcome celebrities and make Instagram reels. Apparently, reels and celebrities matter more than real guests facing real problems. This hotel is currently being run with no accountability, no leadership, and no understanding of hospitality. If you are planning a wedding, family event, or any special occasion, think twice. A beautiful property means nothing when the staff, management, and GM completely fail to do their jobs.

"Good experience"

Very satisfied with all services but more with laundry service. Clothes were cleaned well, neatly pressed, and delivered on time. The staff are extremely polite, respectful, and helpful. They handled everything professionally and responded patiently to all requests. Overall, a great experience and highly recommended for their quality service and excellent staff behaviour.

"Mismanagement : Be Careful"

Hotel’s management is poor. We had booked the Hotel’s motor boat for 30 minutes at 5.30 pm on 19 December 2025. We are aged people - 74 and 69. With great difficulty , we went down all the way to the boat jetty. But the hotel person at the jetty allowed other people to board the boat at 5.30 pm. It gets dark at 6 pm. So there is no point to do boating after that. We were disappointed with this type of mismanagement and came up with with great difficulty. We were deprived of boating entirely due to hotel’s mismanagement. Also , at the time of breakfast and lunch , we find that the service is very poor. You place an order and the item will not be brought to your table. You have to repeatedly chase the staff to get your order. Our room’s electronic lock failed and we had to wait for more than 30 minutes before it could be opened.
