ibis Bordeaux Centre Gare Saint Jean

Small but comfy bed - practical hotel rather than pretty hotel!

This hotel provided a great base for 3 days of wandering around Bordeaux and touring the local area. Its location was perfect for both parts of my trip, being located close to the main railway station for early departures and late returns, but also within easily walkable distance of the main features of the city itself. Local transport links were close as well.

The standard of this hotel corresponds to an IBIS standard. The location nearby the railway station is perfect for a train connection, and less attractive for tourism. It is located in a district in transition, far from the city centre and the touristic area.

Very nice place with friendly staff and clean rooms and a small bar. Breakfast was continental with an opportunity to cook eggs. Just around the corner from the train station and very close to the Tram stop..so excellent location.

There are 3 Ibis hotels near the Bordeaux train station . So this Ibis hotel is Not right across the street from the station & a bit hard to find . I had to go to the one ( Ibis ) across the street to find out it was the wrong hotel !!! Area at night was not really safe ( I'm a woman travelling alone ) . But once inside , the hotel was very nice & the room very clean & comfortable ( a bit small ). The breakfast buffet was very good ( 10 Euros ) . I just thought it was a bit too expensive for the area ( 120 Euros for a night at the end of November ). The staff was very helpful & professional .

Really good front desk service - guys really are service oriented. Nice clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was outstanding!

The hotel was convenient to the Train Station and tram stops.

Very small room in a business style hotel, but in a good location near the riverfront. Very secured parking but 10 Euros a night.
