West Beach Hotel Brighton

Great location. Shared a 8 person room, although basic was great for what we needed. Clean bed and shower room. Quiet at night so had a great sleep.

Could do with some more mirrors.

Lovely place and location

Perfect location across the road from the beach and Upside Down House. Big fluffy towels and crisp, clean bedsheets. Friendly staff - I asked for extra pillows and they were brought to our room within minutes. Safe luggage storage after check-out.

Breakfast not worth £10 (we left the plastic-wrapped pastries and instead ate breakfast at the fabulous Flour Pot cafe across the road), no fan in the room (apart from a little desk one which did absolutely nothing).

No net curtain, would have been nice not to have to shut the main curtains when getting dressed

I want to begin by saying the service was excellent. From check-in to check-out, the staff were professional, friendly, and always ready to help. The location was fantastic, and the breakfast, included in the package, was nice so I truly appreciated that. However, I do need to mention a few concerns. When I got to my room, I noticed a fan was provided, which was a nice touch, but the cleanliness was disappointing. I didn’t expect it to be spotless, but there were visible issues most concerning was the bed. When I moved the sheets, I saw small round red marks, and I really hope they weren’t bed bugs. I also noticed mould in the bathroom and a few stains on the walls I’ve attached photos and videos so others can see. Wi-Fi was a major letdown it was extremely slow, and I had to rely on my 4G for any browsing. That said, if you’re not too worried about cleanliness, I would still recommend the hotel the customer service and overall vibe were top-notch. I just hope the cleanliness can be improved in the future. Additionally, the linen company, County Linen, was delivering at 7:15 a.m. on Sunday, and the trolley noise was so loud it woke me up.

The warm welcome was superb; outstanding staff ; even put together a take away breakfast.
