Apartamentos La Castilleja

The young reception staff at these apartments were great. They spoke English, were friendly and helpfully ordered a taxi for our early start to the station on our final day. Our one large room was clean and reasonably equipped, but there was neither a kettle nor mugs. Fortunately the wet room had two doors separating it from our living space as it sometimes had the slight effluent smell that can permeate the streets of some Spanish cities, Córdoba included. The apartment complex is a 25-minute, €1.20, bus journey into the city which is a slight inconvenience but a taxi, with tip is only €10. Sadly the nights were somewhat disturbed by the late-night howling of dogs from nearby properties, slightly irksome when you're a light sleeper. Yes, there was free wifi, but it didn't extend into our ground-floor room. We had to sit on the terrace, near to reception to access emails or radio.

Parking the car was safe & free and the bus stop to the city was close by making this an ideal location in a quiet area.The staff were friendly & helpful and any requests were dealt with promptly.

Furniture worn down, dirty rooms and hallways, digesting sheets and towels, WiFi that won't connect you anywhere, staff members who seem to think their only job is to take your money, not to mention it's priced higher than the average hotel in Cordoba, you pay because you would think you're staying at a decent apartment, well, think again. for some reason my first review of this place that I did upon my return home was not posted even though it was supported by pictures.

We had a nice stay at La Castilleja, the 1 bedroom studios are very small but OK for equipment and very clean. The building itself is just not very well designed, you feel like you're constantly walking around long corridors... Ths swimming pool area is lovely...A bit far out of the city but no problem if you have a car and the carpark is practical..

Good location close to public transportation. The apartment was spacious and clean and well enough equipped. The double bed definitely needs upgrading! Bed springs were squeaky and the one little pillow they gave you was sad. There were no supermarkets within walking distance. We had to pick up groceries in the town and bring home on bus as we didn't have a car. Still for the price and free wifi it was a bargain,

Perfect apartment and looks quite new. Very good pool. Secure free parking. Wifi was sometimes slow - probably depends which apartment you get (ours was closer to pool). Is distant from tourist sites. If one wants to explore Cordoba without worrying about city driving/parking - then a bus stop is quite close (run once/twice an hour). Absolutely recommended, unless one wants to be in the middle of crowd.

Apartment was absolutely fine for our needs, clean with a little bit of dust (not dirt!). Good bathroom, and overall plenty of space for two of us. However, would have to say that better quality pillows need to be provided, or at least spare ones, as those we had (one each) were like putting your head on a ball of cotton wool. Sorry to say, probably the worst sleep quality of the places we stayed at over two weeks. Not sure about mattress either. Apartments are situated in a very nice suburb of Cordoba and as other reviewers have stated, there is secure and free parking. We took the No. 11 bus into town, runs every 30 mins throughout the day, every day, and took us no more than 10 mins to get to the centre. Bus stop is just down the hill and round the corner, about three mins walk. All staff we came into contact with were extremely friendly, chatty and helpful with information. There is a swimming pool which is handy for cooling off at the end of a day walking around Cordoba. Security of the property is good. If you don't want to stay in Cordoba centre to eat in the evening, or go back in for a second time, there is a recommended Italian restaurant, La Pizzaiola, about five minutes drive away on Avenida Brilliante, with free parking across the road for patrons, and reasonably priced. The reception staff can tell you how to find it. For anyone on a driving tour of Southern Spain, we would recommend this establishment. Loved Cordoba by the way!!

I was very happy with hotel/apartment. The apartment was full sized with a nice kitchen, livingroom and Bath. The bedroom was a nice size with a comfortABLE BED. There was a good secure parking lot for the car and it was not far from the sights of the town. The place is very cleaN AND MODERN. you won't go wrong

Nice and clean. 10 min drive from city center - so you need a car. Great value for your money

Only booked a couple of hours before arrival but was welcomed by name by a charming receptionist. One bed apartment faultless and great price. Lovely view across pool to woodlands. Four minute walk to bus, in centre in 20 minutes by the number 11 cost 1.15 euro. Returned by taxi for 6 euro. Nothing not to like about the place.
