Hotel Boutique Casa San Angel

Room did not look like photos. In the bathroom, only one side of the faucet worked, they had no drains covers, and the shower/tub was dangerous entering and exiting. The hotel air conditioning went out for two nights so we had to reserve a different hotel. It was not a good experience.

The WiFi is a bit spotty and unreliable. It is better in the common areas, but that's not useful for meetings, etc.

Quiet meditative ambience inside, plants and birds everywhere. Room was cleaned daily and was spacious and comfortable. Staff were all very friendly, although one of the waiters in the restaurant area was very passive and surly which made me not want to go there anymore (hence the 4 stars for service).

Decorations in unique Persian-Mexican style. Beautiful inner patio with wonderful wall paintings. Hamacas in the rooms. Great ambiance in the dining area. Great staff at the reception. Fantastic souvenir shop. Located just beside the attractions on touristy Montejo Avenue.

Pool was tiny. Continental breakfast included with the reservation was limited to a small serving of fruit, a piece of bread or roll, and ONE cup of coffee. Beds were somewhat stiff.

Gorgeous old style hotel with beautiful decoration inside and out. Richly colored interior spaces, a hanging garden atrium. Lovely lobby seating with view to the sky. Wonderful bathroom tiles and porcelain fixtures.
