Willowbank Resort

I had stayed at Willowbank in 1969 as a teenager and wanted to take my wife there at some point, and so it was my first choice for celebrating our 50th anniversary. I was thrilled that it was still there after all those years and it hadn't lost it's charm. In fact it has grown and provides a lot for anyone: couples, family, groups, etc. It is also a conference centre as well, and does weddings and other events. A hurricane had come by a few weeks or so earlier (but no damage as it only slightly grazed the island) and so the number of visitors was down from usual so we felt like it was a very special, quiet place for us to enjoy. Comparatively, Bermuda is an expensive place to visit (and live) but we felt it was well worth the price. Since the number of guests was down they automatically upgraded our accommodations to one of the nicest ones available and we loved it. The ocean and sunset views straight out of our unit were simply spectacular. The food was excellent in their restaurant/dining room. They have their own beautiful beach in the cove and we enjoyed many lovely quiet hours there. Among all of the beauties and amenities perhaps the most striking aspect of Willowbank is the management and staff. What wonderful people. I can't say enough about how nice they all are! Bermudians are warm lovely people and we thoroughly enjoyed our time at Willowbank and on the island.

I was unable to get a response for Reservation after 6 calls to reserve. This is very similar to 2 years prior after making several direct calls. Staff is not propery trained in hotel management, unfortunately!

Staff is top notch - friendly, helpful, available. Gave great advice on places to see, local restaurants, etc. Beautiful views of the ocean. Sparkling pool two small, private beaches on site. Tips for travelers: learn the local bus system - safe, convenient, predictable. Also, there is a food shop a short ride by bus in Somerset for incidentals. Enjoy!

The property is gorgeous. The staff was helpful and friendly. Excellent beaches for snorkeling and hotel grounds.

Room Service Needed & Better T.V Selection (couldn’t watch EPL Football)

Super charming with views to die for. We only stayed for three days and four nights but we were able to get a really good fell for the island and the hotel. The team especially Sheyanne and the Chef (apologies we can’t remember his name) were incredibly welcoming and told us all the best beaches to visit off the tourist track. It’s hard to rate the condition of the hotel as we popped into a similar hotel to grab a taxi and they’re much the muchness. It’s not modern or sleek however it has charm and it’s clean and comfortable. The air on works perfectly and the bed was heaven. It’s not luxe but it does the job. We stayed in an ocean view room called Tamaris 5 and it has incredible views from the room and small balcony. Steps straight down to the beach from our room. The beach is very small but perfectly formed, infact, it’s a hidden gem. We spent half a day on the hotels beach and we were the only ones there. We snorted and chilled and didn’t see a single soul. Food was really good, we had breakfast every morning and I really enjoyed the options, we had dinner two nights and again we really enjoyed that too. Lunch has really great choices too. The reception team were helpful arranging taxi’s for us. We overall had a great stay and were blown away with Bermuda’s beauty and hospitality.

I have very weak legs and had trouble getting up from toilet as it is very low. And can not take shower in tub. Next visit I will need handicap room.
