Tired and basic

The location

Had to clean accommodation etc before leaving. No dishwasher. Only heating was fire. Had to cut own kindling and fill wood box ourselves. Dog poo everywhere. Chickens had no water. Everything was very run down.

Compact and comfortable

A bit of distance away from anywhere.

Old fashioned two storey home with a wood fire. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed. Very efficient fire.

The only bathroom was upstairs, and had no fan - when you opened the window, bugs came in! Washing machine was in a shed outside.

Very clean house. Kitchen had everything we needed. Everything worked as it should and it is in a beautiful location.

The location is remote, not a bad point as this was what we were looking for, but if you want something nearer to a town then you need to be aware.

The host offers the option of a purchased, home cooked and gourmet dinner. I highly suggest you partake, her cooking was divine and the dining room in the home was a lovely space in which to spend an evening.
