Number Four at Stow

Would have given it 5 stars except the bed was uncomfortable (2 twins put together to make a king so a ridge in the middle). Staff were very helpful and a nice 1.5 walk to town (uphill there but then downhill back -- better than the reverse). Great breakfast.

Soft mattress was terrible for my back. Otherwise it was excellent, nice breakfast, reasonable walk to village.

Very small room, could barely move in it. No view out of window just the sight of a brick wall. Nothing to justify high price.

We were very pleased with our stay at Number 4. It was a convenient location for driving around the Cotswolds but it was not close enough to nearby villages to walk. The hotel itself is attractive and well maintained. Our room was very clean but too small in our opinion for the furniture. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

My mother and I wanted to visit bourton on the water. And wanted to stay local. Room was very nice, very clean and comfortable. Was booked in to have an evening meal, but decide not to as not much choice. Breakfast was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Plenty of parking. Would recommend

Great stay, excellent service and both dinner and breakfast were superb too. With lovely views to the rear of the property it's a pity that the dining and lounging areas face the road!

Rooms were very clean, quiet, and very well appointed. We dined in their restaurant, Clancy's at night, menu, food and service were exceptional. Excellent breakfast, could not fault anything.

Stayed at Number Four overnight on our wedding anniversary. Although the room was small, it was beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Everything worked. The overhead rain shower, situated in the bath was a real treat. Breakfast was plentiful, cooked fresh and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. Will look forward to a return trip.
