Grand Hotel Timeo, A Belmond Hotel, Taormina

Just stopped into the bar for a drink and some snacks. What a beautiful property with amazing views of the sea and Mt Etna and wonderfully professional, helpful staff. Would love to stay there in the future.

We had a meal at the hotel’s beautiful restaurant with amazing views over the hillside. Food was absolutely amazing, helped by the beautiful setting. The staff were very friendly especially the Sommelier who was fantastic and her wine recommendation was just brilliant and also Daniel who served us lovely guy funny, friendly and professional we had the best time

We recently returned from a 3-night stay at this amazing property, as part of a larger European vacation to celebrate our 10-year wedding anniversary. We have been fortunate enough to travel to and stay at some amazing properties across Europe, but this may be our new favorite. Upon check-in, we were greeted by the wonderful staff and glasses of prosecco. Enzo (a true asset to the staff) showed us the property then whisked us to our room, where the view from our private terrace was truly jaw-dropping (see attached photos, we were lucky enough to see Mt. Etna erupt during our stay, what an experience!). Breakfast each morning was beautiful, with a wonderful selection of buffet and made-to-order items. Rosa was a wonderful person to visit with each morning (she makes the best green juice!). Bar Timeo was the highlight for us, as it was a wonderful spot to have cocktails each evening, with live music and the same jaw-dropping view. The hostess (whose name escapes me) was a delight. With Sicily, and Taormina specifically, gaining in popularity with tourists, you would think a property like this would lose its charm. Quite the opposite: my husband and I commented at several points during our stay that we were made to feel so special by the staff, like we were their most important guests. I have never teared up upon leaving a property, but I did here. This goes to show the level of service and overall "feel" one has while staying at Grand Hotel Timeo. We will be back to stay at this truly amazing, special place.

We had lunch on the terrace of this grand hotel overlooking Taormina, the Sicilian coast and Mt. Etna. What a view! The food and drink were delicious, (we highly recommend the prosciutto and cheese plate, but everything was yummy!) Kudos to Fabio for being such an attentive and gracious waiter.

We came to this hotel and the team overwhelmed us with hospitality above and beyond our expectations. Every one of the team tries to know our names daily. They even know our likes and dislikes at the daily remarkable breakfast! The most overwhelming experience was that we had booked through a travel agent for our room. The room was supposed to be a junior suite with a view of the sea/terrace. Unfortunately, we were woken up by the construction going on across the street. Our terrace was facing the construction. We let the front Team know and they changed it for us immediately! This was another example of the kind of absolve and beyond service they give to every one of their guests!

Most memorable hotel of the entire holiday. Service was impeccable and the staff were wonderful. Made you feel special.

A memorable week spent with my now fiancé. Our last holiday as a couple before welcoming our first child. We were both in agreement that we will be coming back with our child.

Daniella was such an amazing host we couldnt have had a better time! The food was insane and the service was insane. They went out of their way to get me cigarettes and so many other obscure things…yes I am high maintenance. I’d go here again in a heartbeat.
