Boutique Hotel Marina S Roque

Ask for a room at the back of hotel, it's on a very busy, noisy road! Room was very small and lacked character. No information booklet or fire instructions. Bed was comfortable, very fluffy pillows. Very clean, but bedding too narrow for bed size. Bathroom dated, sometimes drain smell. Location of shower gel very awkward. Sink soap dispenser drips onto towels. Bedside lights are far too bright, needs dimmer bulbs. Very strange wooden poles for closing curtains! It is like a motel, close to a very busy 4 lane road. Satisfactory for one or two nights. There is a big supermarket quite close, but again across busy roads. Also, a little bar, much cheaper than hotel! Breakfast is continental, adequate, but not much choice. Well stocked and very clean. Staff attentive. Overall the staff are helpful, but it reminded me of an old peoples home, very quaint and antiquated. Lagos itself is lovely. If you want to venture further, there is a railway and bus station. Senior rates on railway if you show your passport.

This hotel looked fantastic - great location and rate, pool, included breakfast but what they neglected to also say is that it comes with a neighborhood dog that barks all - night - long!! Apparently been going on for a long time and continues to frustrate staff and guests. So I’m sorry guys but I cannot recommend this hotel unless sleep is not important to you!

Your enjoyment very much depends what you want / expect from a 3* hotel.... GOOD: Excellent location, 5 mins level walk to marina & train station, 15 mins to lovely town, 20 mins to beach. Very helpful & friendly receptionists. Spacious & well (olde worlde) decorated reception / bar & dining room. Two lifts to all floors. Very clean in all public areas & rooms. Plenty of sunbeds. Comfortable bed & very good sleep quality (back of hotel - rooms overlooking busy road may differ.) NOT SO GOOD: Very dark & rather unwelcoming reception / bar areas, bar apparently available but always unlit & only saw one couple drinking in 9 nights - zero atmosphere. Cold breakfast only - same every day with very little fresh fruit. Although breakfast 8-10am, waitress puts off music & some lights at 9:45 & starts to remove food. NO hot drinks available anywhere in hotel once breakfast service ended. Bedroom small & functional but no fridge or minibar, very tired (yellowing) plastic bathroom fittings & ill-fitting toilet seat. Overbath shower with curtain (but worked well). A/C in 205 was "all or nothing" with no heat or fan adjustment working but was free (unlike safe). Hotel website advertises rooftop solarium with views of Meia Priah beach - there are NO tables or chairs here & NO view of the beach. Pool area very enclosed with sunbeds under a building overhang & will be in shade outside summer months. Pool max 1.2 mtrs deep, spotlessly clean but pretty chilly.

What a lovely hotel very clean . Breakfast was continental but plenty of every thing . The staff at the hotel are very pleasent and cant do enough for you the little gem was the small pool at the back of the hotel what a surprise and a right sun trap . The hotel is on a main road not far from the marina and the old town . Would recomend this hotel but advised to take some earplugs due to early morning traffic but it didnt stop us enjoying our 5 nights break in lagos

Excellent experience management & all staff were ever so friendly . Thank you Anna Katya Teago & all the breakfast & maid service was outstanding everyday. Will definitely return. The area is 5 minute walk to a supermarket & Marina keep walking over the bridge if you don’t like the Old Town ld be very surprised. Plenty choice of restaurants & cafe bars.

Lovely hotel, perfectly placed for the marina, beach and town. We had a room on the road side - could be noisy during the day but generally quiet at night. Small balcony but big enough to sit out on. The pool area was lovely and generally very quiet…. No need to reserve a sunbed here!! The breakfast was great and similar to a Premier Inn continental brekkie if you’re from the UK. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel is spotlessly clean. Clean towels and room made up every day. A lovely stay - thank you!

Overall a nice hotel, located near Lagos marina and the town center.Nice and helpful staff. Only the downside was the noise from the nearby road traffic. The everyday maid service was great.The breakfast was reasonable.

The hotel was clean and well located with parking. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It was walking distance to many things. The hotel is however outdated and our AC did not work. A fan was brought to us and that really helped in the month of july.

The hotel is cozy and very clean hotel and great location! We were close to so many beaches like 15 to 30 minutes away by car. In Lagos ( Algarve) car is a must if you intend to go to several beaches. A big thanks to Matteus at reception desk he was very helpful and very cordial! The hotel has a nice pool, breakfast in the morning and a bar till midnight if you want to drink something. However, the hotel there’s no one working from 1Am till 7AM keep this in mind. Under than that is a good hotel. We booked through a travel agency so was a package deal. Bathroom was very clean and the room as well and the AC fantastic!

This was a really cute hotel! We enjoyed our stay and the staff was super friendly. The rooms were clean. We also spent a bit of time by the pool which was adorable! The hotel is about 20 mins walk across the marina to the main Lagos attractions and a little bit further to the beach but we didn’t mind at all! The value for the price was excellent with free breakfast as a nice added bonus.
