"Location Location Location"

Location Location Location. The hotel is across the road from the marina with boat trips and bars. It is old style Portuguese and family run.Good rooms. Small pool. Very clean. Basic breakfast. Easy walking distance to old town shops , bars and restaurants.Great value for money on an easy jet package with transfers from Faros.

Vintage, cute hotel. The breakfast is the same thing daily with never a variety. The room key is micromanaged as you leave the building. The people are very nice and friendly. The bartender is a hoot! A ghost must have opened my closet door while I was away one day as they said no one entered the room. The beds are not soft, but the massive pillows can be used like a topper for comfort.

Loved the balcony, room was comfortable, easy parking. Would have liked to be a little closer to the city centre. Lobby was very dark & unwelcoming

"1 week in lagos"

10.0

Had a fantastic 1 week stay in lagos in this hotel. Lovely, traditional Portuguese hotel with daily room service and vast choice of continual breakfast. 20 minutes walk from a long, golden beach, 5 minutes to marina with bars and hotels, 25 minutes to the gorgeous lagos old town but with bars and hotels along the way. Ideal location and would definitely return again. Make sure you ask for the late key if out after 12am!!

"4 Day visit was too short !"

10.0

This Hotel is ideal for short walks to very well appointed Super Market Pingo Dolce . Also straight across the road and through the appartment access road to small playpark. This leads by pathway to the Marina proper with all of its great bars and eating places heading towards the well used bridge over to the old town of Lagos ( Laygosh ) , with its old cobbled streets and many more eating , drinking and shopping areas. Hotel to beach walk is leisurely 20mins - 30mins stroll depending on your pace . Nice beach bars down there with food too . Buses and taxis pass by the hotel into town or further afield if required. Also 10mins walk to Train Stn. All in all a great little town to visit with many boat trips to the caves and Dolphin spotting . However , back to the Hotel . The structure and manner of management of this Hotel are like a snapshot of the past , now that is meant in the best possible way . The structure is a little dated , but immaculately maintained. White painted exterior walls are spotless with tiled interior and exterior walkways , corridors and walls, all very clean and in good repair. Air con in rooms if required all working . The little pool at the rear is clean and the area around there can provide sun or shade . Breakfast provided is plentiufull and has endless coffee or juices , fresh fruit and cereals with cheese and great ham for your toast or croissant's . Eat as much as you want in a nice cool dining area . All of this is provided by Maria , and her family and staff as a great Family business . You can just tell that they all have poured their lives into this brilliant little hotel over a long period . It's the little things that matter and they are all dealt with for you here . Perhaps too quiet for family with boisterous children , but totally brilliant for couples or older clients looking for somewhere to base their holiday exploring this lovely part of Portugal . Glass and concrete it's not , but good solid building and great service with perfect location it definitely is. Room service is each day , with modern bathrooms fitted . Dont be put off by any negative reviews. This place is really well run and in a great spot for walking out to explore . We would return without a doubt.

"What a gem!"

10.0

I absolutely loved this hotel and could go on and on with reasons why: charming, very clean and well-maintained; friendly, helpful staff; spacious room; comfortable bed and pillows; great rain shower; nice pool; walking distance to marina, numerous restaurants, beach, and both the bus and train stations (and I was toting two pieces of luggage); ice breakfast; budget-friendly rate. I would definitely stay here again.

We very much enjoyed our stay - all of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast in the morning was great (toast, coldcuts, cheese, yogurt, cereal, fruit, etc). Reception closes at midnight so if you plan to be out later than that, you must request a night key. Hotel is on the marina side so you have to walk the bridge to get to the old town - but it is a beautiful walk! Highly recommend.
