Boutique Hotel Marina S Roque

This hotel is very cute and in a great, convenient location (quick walk to town and the beach with free parking). The staff are so kind and helpful. The complimentary breakfast is great and there’s a nice little pool. My only complaint is that there are no irons or ironing boards (not even to borrow) and no ice machines or any way to get ice. These two things seem like pretty big staples for a hotel to have. Everything else is exceptional! Would recommend staying here!

Really good three days in this older but very well maintained, friendly, family-run hotel. It’s within easy walking distance of the marina, with all its restaurants/bars, lovely Mea Praia beach, the main town area and just minutes from the train station. All the staff were great and I was given exactly the room I requested at the rear of the main building. A great breakfast buffet, a sheltered small swimming pool with loungers (a bonus at certain times of the year as Lagos can be very windy!) and I’m happy to recommend the Marina Sao Roque as it ticked all our boxes. Relaxing place nice pool

The staff were super friendly and someone was available 24/7. Really great location, just a 5 minute walk to the Marina and train station. Everywhere was spotlessly clean and the pool area was lovely, we got the pool to ourselves most of the time too. Breakfast was simple but good quality and delicious. Would highly recommend this hotel, great value!

No seating in room but a ice outdoor patio with seating. Hotel was quiet and good access to the marina.

Wonderful hospitality from Susanna who gave me tips on shortcuts to Lagos attractions. Not all staff can speak good English. If you are stuck, you can always go to Susanna. She really goes all the way to help even finding my Portugal sweets for me.I feel safe staying in this hotel. Receptionist waited till 3am for my return. It feels like I have family looking after me. The hotel is excellent location, minutes away from supermarket and marine. Pls bring ur shampoo. Only shower gel is provided which happens to be my fave brand! No mini bar or coffee making in my room. The safe has no lock but I always bring a lock. U can go to nearby cafes or supermarket to get fresh drinks.No hot cooked breakfast. A selection of hard boiled eggs, fresh coffee, bread, ham and cheese with cakes and yogurt. Also juices and milk provided.Excellent value for the five stars service and location of this hotel. The hotel doesn’t host noisy people. As a mature sole traveller, I prefer my peace and quiet.

This hotel was lovely: spacious, clean, nice pool area and good breakfast. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Our only complaint is the hotel had no hot water every night, so showers could only happen in the mornings.
