Quiet hotel near the marina and central city and restaurants. Beautiful older building. Great breakfast. An easy walk from the bus station.

This hotel is ideally located. Situated within easy walking distance of Marina, bus stop and train station. A supermarket is also close by. It is a traditional Portuguese property full of charm. Dining room is beautiful. Breakfast -continental- was very good. Plenty to eat and a reasonable choice. The waitress was very pleasant as we're all staff. My only problem was hard pillows, which management have agreed to rectify prior to my next visit in Spring 2019. Some guests may find the noise of traffic outside some rooms a nuisance. It didn't bother me. Pool area is clean if a little small,but seemed very welcoming.

Great location - 2 mins. from the Marina. 2 mins. from the supermarket. 15 mins. from the City Centre. 20 mins. from the closest beach. I traveled by myself and it was very safe & clean. You leave your key with the concierge when you go out, I don’t know if that’s common Portugal practice but again, it was very safe and nothing was ever stolen. It’s a family run hotel. Everyone’s super nice, Susana was especially helpful. She speaks perfect English. She helped me book tours and surf lessons right at the front desk. I wouldn’t have been able to phone them (Thanks!). Breakfast was good - breads, fresh juice, hard boiled eggs, fruit, coffee, teas & some pastries. The rooms were clean with air conditioning & blow dryer and more importantly, there was a strong wifi signal. Bathroom is small but clean and the water pressure in the shower/sink was good. The hotel was quite quiet. Pool is open until 7pm but it’s a bit cold when the sun goes down anyway. Not the right hotel if you’re planning on partying or pre-gaming in your hotel room. Great for relaxing, for seniors or if you’re a solo traveler that wants a safe place to return to every night. I would stay here again and I highly recommend them!

The pool was smaller than imagined, the hotel bigger, but fine room and breakfast. Excellent location

Travelled solo this trip to Lagos so decided to try the san Roque as it’s close to the marina Hotel is nice family run hotel with owners and staff very friendly and hotel very clean Continental breakfast was all you need to start the day Had a nice 5 day break at the hotel On the minor note TV had no English channels. Just sub titles. But not a life changer and please to all hotels please put more cloths hangers in the wardrobe 4 was not enough

Great spot that is close to the marina and old town. Amazing staff that will help with anything. Really enjoyed it as it was far enough from the craziness of old town, but close enough to walk there. Highly recommend it.

The hotel is getting old and is in need of repairs. It is not far from restaurants and entertainment. A little far from beaches. Staff was super friendly and helpful. Inexpensive

Lovely traditional hotel. Quiet and relaxing. Rooms spotless. Staff wonderful. Although the only food catered is the continental breakfast the hotel is very close to the marina where there are lots of cafes bars and restaurants. I will certainly return again.

Short walking distance from the Marina well worth the savings to stay there. Staff was friendly, Suzanna in particular was extremely helpful and so kind. The beds were not very comfortable and the bathrooms are too narrow. There was no way to shower without having the curtain stick to you, but overall it was clean. The biggest issue was the fact that our room was facing the street and it was extremely noisy. Good price/value
