Econo Lodge Kingsport East

Hotel room was dirty. Dead spiders and bugs in corners, something smeared all over headboard (didn’t want to know what), hair all over the shower, what appeared as pubic hair all over the toilet. Shower curtain was stained.

The staff was great and accommodating. Conveniently located. It was good for what it was

Breakfast was a disaster, literally office personnel walked around talking on phone wish I could get my money back

For a quick pitt stop and a snooze it’s ok but that’s all.

From the highway noise to the tiny breakfast area, prepare for an overall average experience if you’re staying here. The check-in lady was busy shooting the breeze with a friend and I had to wait a solid two minutes before she even acknowledged me (there was no other person at the counter, so it was a poor beginning for me). There were some unsavory characters and the smell of weed from one of the parked vehicles, but I suppose it is to be expected. The place was motel-style (no indoor walkways). The breakfast selection was incredibly poor (three or four danish, a couple fruits, and maybe some cereal). Barely OK for a pit stop but avoid if staying with family.

Location right off freeway

The bed was HORRIBLE. The mattress was set on a metal box type structure. Everytime we turned in our sleep, it may a very loud popping sound from the metal giving.
