The Windmills

My sister and i traveled to Ios alone for 5 days and felt very safe at the Windmills. Our host Pavlos was very nice! He did not hesitate to strike up conversation or help us with directions in Ios. He also knows the best restaurants in town to ask him for recommendations! The hotel is right on the outskirts of the main town Chora so you dont hear the bar crowd at night but everything is in walking distance. Would stay here again!

Great hotel top location in the middle of all the hot spots but also quiet at all times. Can easily say this hotel has a warm feel to it the host Pavlos is a gentleman will make you feel at home from the second you walk in. Highly reccomend this hotel to all travellers of all ages.

We had a great experience at Pavlos hotel, the owner was welcoming and friendly. The place has everything you need and the wifi is actually super fast. Many places advertise wifi but it will suck, so I was grateful for that. The rooms were clean and cozy. There was a mini fridge as well. 2 minute walk from all the bars, busses, shopping and restaurants. But far enough from them that you don't hear anything at night.

The hotel is situated in the best location! Quite close the the beach (about 15min walk) and right in the centre of town. The hotel manager was great and he gave us great service. The rooms are really small but for one night it was ok. They were super clean though and well air conditioned . Overall we had a good experience .

To get there with luggage I would recommend taking a taxi, but otherwise we had no problem walking there and back from the center. There is also a bus that takes you close to the hotel if needed. Great staff, very helpful and nice. Allowed us to store our luggage in the basement even after we checked out. Rooms were clean, AC worked, and also wifi was good. I would recommend it.

Great hotel at the edge of the main town, Xora (Ios town). Easy walk to all the major clubs in town and a 15 minute walk from a large popular beach.

The guy who owns it is super friendly and understanding, as is the receptionist. The hotel is in great condition; clean, good air-conditioning and superb wifi. The rooms are nice and spacious, comfortable beds, nice private bathrooms and the wifi works perfectly in them. The location is really good; it's surroundings are quiet but it is really close to the centre and to lots of bars, shops, and a short walk to the beautiful lookout in Ios. I would definitely stay here again.

If you are looking for a comfy and spotless room with an unbeatable price located within Chora (the main village on Ios) and an authentic Greek hospitality, look no further than The Windmills. My sister and I spent two nights here and we loved everything, particularly the superbly friendly owner - Pavlos - and his niece, Sharon. The guest house is located near the windmills (close to the theatre) and it's basically 5 minutes walk to everything in the village. We loved the fact that it's close to everything, yet it's far enough from the noise from the bars in the main strip of the village. The room we had was good sized and spotless! Both Pavlos and Sharon were very friendly and we had very nice chats with them on almost everything! Pavlos is an amazing man with many incredible stories to tell - he has come a long way in his life. If I were to return to Ios, The Windmills is definitely where i'd stay.

Pavlov was a wonderful host which helped us in everyway he could. Great location, near the city centre but very private and quiet. An easy walk to the beach.

is conveniently located close to the old town with it's picturesque cobbled narrow streets, restaurants and shops. It is a 15-20 minute walk downhill to Mylopotas Beach where there is a convenient bus service to take you back up the hill! Buses to the beach, port, or other parts were very convenient to the Windmills. It's location was excellent, close enough to the town but separate enough to provide a quiet, restful sleep. We ejoyed our stay and will return.
