Christmas Farm Inn and Spa

The staff were great. The area was amazingly quiet and was able to relax.

We recently stayed at Christmas Farm Inn and Spa for a wedding a couple of weeks ago. The wedding itself was amazing, and the grounds around the inn were beautiful. Unfortunately, our actual stay was very disappointing due to the management. We booked one of the barn rooms, and I would strongly advise against ever booking in that section. While most of the staff were friendly and helpful, the General Manager, Abe, was rude and unprofessional. On our first night, we received a noise complaint. We were up late due to jet lag, but were not being excessively loud. After a neighbor banged on the wall, I quickly received a text from Abe asking us to keep the volume down. Thinking it was an automated system, we immediately complied and kept everything quiet for the rest of the night. The next morning, around 8am, Abe came banging on our door as aggressively as possible. His exact first words were, “I’m asking you to check out today.” He said we had been making noise “all night” and “banging on walls.” Neither of those things were true. Once he finally introduced himself as the GM, I calmly explained that we lowered our volume as soon as we received the text and that we never banged on any walls. Instead of listening, he dismissed our explanation and began lecturing me in a disrespectful and hostile manner. To try to evict paying guests early in the morning, on the day of a wedding, without hearing both sides of the situation, is completely unacceptable. This experience left a very sour impression of the property. The surroundings are beautiful, and the other staff members were pleasant, but the GM’s behavior ruined what should have been a positive stay. I cannot recommend staying here, especially when there are likely other inns in the area with far better management and respect for their guests.

We love the Christmas Farm Inn and stay there whenever we can when visiting the White Mountains. Great location, friendly staff and a good value. This was our first time staying in the Salt Box building. The room was spacious and bright with a comfy king bed. Wonderful stay!

We had fun going to nearby storyland. The Christmas farm inn was comfortable. The property could use some more landscaping and leaf cleanup around the pool/gym area And the lodging buildings. The spa building is covered in overgrown bushes and trees, so we didn’t venture there. I was considering a massage….

Ive been going up there for many years. What i dont like is that the housekeeper doesnt come in every day to clean. And the breakfast would come with the room

The Donder room was so small you could barely walk around the bed but the bed was very comfy. The air conditioner was plugged into an extension cord which didn’t seem up to code to us. The bathroom was very small and we banged our elbows and knees a lot in the shower. The front desk staff was not overly friendly and pretty direct. The lights would dim every little while and the power would almost seem to want to shut down. The room was very clean and the we slept well on the comfortable bed. If we ever decided to stay again, the main inn would not be the choice.

We had a very nice time. Our 11 year old granddaughter liked the pool, toasting marshmallows and playing chess. It was very close to everything. I would recommend it to everyone.

Unfortunately our stay this year was not as good as years past. We so enjoyed this place last year! It seems they are understaffed or lacking on site management. Our AC mini split was dripping on the carpet inside on a very hot day, and it was not addressed. We asked for trash and towel removal, and they did not follow through. We love the pool area but it was a bit underkept. No one had tidied the space and the pool cleaning unit was out, which is hazardous with kids. We pay quite a bit for these amenities, so it is disappointing. Also breakfast was included for kids at booking, but staff was confused and did not acknowledge this offer.
