We loved the location . Shops were just around the corner. Lovely bars on the street and very close to the city centre. The location is exceptional.

The bed was not good at all. It was 2 singles put together and I kept slipping through. There was no hot water for the sink. I did not have a curtain in my bedroom. There was no bathroom seals in one of the door frames. There should be an extra handle in the bathroom. The titles in my bathroom was wobbly. The shower gel was too high for me to reach and the containers were empty. There was screaming on the corridors at around 1:00 am . Screaming for help and banging on doors. I was really scared.

"Lovely place, needs better beds"

9.0

Great location and room, with free amenities. Best budget hotel I ever used.

They had winter duvets folded in half on a single bed making it too uncomfortable to sleep, half way through the night we pulled the duvet out of their covers and managed to get some rest. The mattresses also were not the most comfortable. Everything else was spot on.

"Clean enough and comfortable, good location."

7.0

Very good location. Big beds and comfortable. Decent shower.

There was not a towel per person and when we asked for extra there were none available. There were also only two mugs and a single loo roll for 4 adults.

"It did the job at short notice, for which I was grateful."

5.0

Central location and near some good restaurants.

The staff were a bit off hand, and the lifts were both out of order during my stay: no explanation, no apology, even though I was on the fourth floor and 86years old. Strangely the room was for a disabled person, which I am not, but I did wonder later how someone in a wheelchair would have managed with no lift.

"Hotel from Hell"

1.0

Nothing much.

The hotel had 2 customer lifts. One was out of service permanently. The other was disabled by a load of drunks in the early hours of Saturday morning. Attempts were made to repair it but it remained out of service for the rest of our 3 night stay. Our room was on the fifth floor. That was on top of that hotel doing a major refurbish to rooms, replacing beds and mattresses. Absolute chaos. The hotel is next door to James St Station. So each morning we were greeted with homeless and drunks sleeping on steps and pavements, or begging.
