"Celebrating my sisters 50th"

The villa was amazing, clean and comfortable with excellent air conditioning. The welcome cake and madeira wine was lovely. Sadly didn't use the restaurant, bar or pool as we didn't have the energy to walk up the hill!! But enjoyed relaxing on the patio.

We couldn't find where to check in and our taxi driver asked a lovely cleaner who got in her van for us to follow to the golf shop! As the reception half way down the resort is closed on weekends! Check in instructions need to be a lot clearer ! Would of expected a little bit of tea, coffee, sugar and milk as a welcome gift in the price! But we did have cake and madeira wine waiting for us. We didn't have a car but used Bolt and would be around 8 euros to the cable car area.

"Een prachtig gelegen verblijf buiten de drukte, waar rust en uitzicht centraal staan, maar een auto onmisbaar is voor da"

De locatie vonden wij bijzonder aantrekkelijk: rustig gelegen, weg van de drukte, en met een schitterend uitzicht. Daar staat echter tegenover dat voor vrijwel alle voorzieningen gebruik van de auto noodzakelijk is. Of het nu gaat om een bezoek aan het zwembad, een maaltijd op de golfbaan, of een boodschap bij de supermarkt of bakker, alles vereist vervoer per auto.

Een heerlijk rustig gelegen verblijf met prachtig uitzicht, waar alles tot in de puntjes verzorgd was.

"Nous avons passé une semaine stressante et peu reposante."

L'emplacement de l'appartement qui offrait une vue splendide sur l'océan et Funchal.

Nous avons subi des nuisances sonores terribles. Entre un chantier de la route et une fête de village en contrebas, nous avions du bruit (très fort) permanent de 8h du matin à minuit. L'établissement n'était pas responsable de cela mais la direction n'a fait aucun effort pour minimiser ou compenser les nuisances subies. Pour un établissement de ce niveau et au prix de la location, c'est pitoyable.
