The owners were very friendly They up graded us to a better room without asking They also arranged early breakfast & a packed lunch for us as we were doing the Tongariro alpine walk the following morning We really enjoyed our evening spa in the lodge after our long trek

Such a beautiful location and the staff are very friendly. 3 toilets and 3 showers in shared bathroom and never was busy! My room was a great size and comfortable bed. Shared kitchen was kitted out and complimentary tea, coffee and milk was a bonus. As a solo traveller it was a lovely treat to have a room to myself. The Tongariro crossing shuttle service was also great from the accom and they made me feel very at ease doing it on my own (popular walk anyway so people around). Thanks for such a lovely stay I’d definitely recommend if you are a solo traveller or a family!

Dutchy, the owner and driver, was very nice and helpful. The young Staff in the lodge tried in opposition to that everything to ignore guests. The lodge is quite okay. Bathroom and kitchen are clean, but everything is a little bit run down.
