I loved the lovely gardens, buffet dinner and breakfast- so delicious and a variety of food to choose from, comfortable beds with a big choice of pillows, beautifully scented toiletries, and free large bottle of water in room. Nice hot water in shower and great having a warm duvet, extra blanket and wall heater for the cold Johannesburg winter nights. The staff are all friendly and helpful, from chefs, to drivers, to reception and cleaning staff. I have stayed here about 15 times and will keep this as my accomodation of choice. Great too, having transport to and from the airport included. So great to have the option for a massage or beauty treatment on site too!

A piece or two of the bedding was looking a bit worse for wear, but I pointed it out to a cleaning staff member, and it was immediately sorted.

Exceptional value and surprising little gem! Don't be deterred by the location, once you're in the guest house, you'll feel like you're in an oasis. The heated pool is phenomenal, I wish we'd had more time to enjoy it. Breakfast was fabulous, facilities are stellar (bar, spa, dining etc). The staff is extremely responsive and communicative, and will happily accommodate your needs. For example, I needed to pick up my car rental and they organized a driver to get me to the rental depot which wasn't located at the airport. I high recommend Sunrock as an alternative to staying at the airport hotels. We had a spacious room with 4 beds and plenty of space to unpack and repack our 4 large luggage pieces, 3 pieces of hand luggage and 4 personal items.

The location is convenient from the airport, but you'll have to be alert in the neighborhood once you leave the guest house and aware of your surroundings, just as you would be in all of Johannesburg I guess.
