Nettes Personal und sehr sauberres Zimmer. Tolle Ausstattung. Das Frühstück könnte länger sein als 9:30. Aber das ist meinr Persönliche Meinung.

We stayed here for one night for a concert. The staff were friendly and the room were nice and clean. We had the breakfast which was also good, limited English in the area. but a nice place over all..

Hotel Alte Redaktion is a lovely hotel, newly renovated. It is directly off the main road of Gevelsberg so very easy to get around by foot or car from the hotel. I stayed in a double room and it was a good size. The common front area of the hotel is a welcoming place and good for a beer and a chat with other guests. Finally, the staff are wonderful, friendly and helpful. Debs at the front desk was very cool as was the breakfast crew. Thanks for a great stay.

My friend and I stayed in this hotel while travelling by bike on the Pilgerweg though the area. The staff were very helpful. We didn't eat in evening or the following morning due to budget. I can recommend this hotel for quality and convenience. After we got our pilgerstempel, the lovely receptionist gave us each a bottle of water in the morning for our journey. It's the small things that you remember...

Stayed there on business in Jan 2017 Not the most luxurious hotel, but one I really enjoyed staying in. Yes it was clean and tidy but more than that it was a warm and friendly welcome when makes it more of a home from home. Lots of corridors and stairs, changes of direction to find the room which adds to the character of the hotel, certainly not a plastic palace and good value for money.

My friend recently used this hotel as a base for all of her wedding guests and i found it perfect for my very short break. The hotel is central to Gevelsberg and easy to find. Staff were very welcoming, friendly and facilitating to the needs of the entire family. Drinks were reasonably priced and avaialble as room service, also accepting cash or card. Bedroom was simple but perfect for my few hours sleep but tipped with the perfect traditional continental fayre. Anyone unsure, there are different rooms, budget is budget and the honeymoon suite is huge.

We had a problem with payment in a neighbouring restaurant (that story can be read in another review) and had been told that "no-one accepts AMEX or Master Card any more. So, we were prepared to have that same discussion when we should pay for the stay. But there were no problems at all. AMEX was accepted. No probs. And MC as well. Breakfast, room, parking, WiFi all worked well at no extra cost. But there is an Umbau (reconstruction) going on and it can sometimes be difficult to find one's room.

Short 2 night stay. Overall pleasant . Check in - very quick, one of the few hotels where they don't insist on your passport copy Room - very basic, small room with single bed, tv, table chair. no mini-bar, tea/coffee or water kettle provided. dont expect any great views either. Breakfast - again quite basic. yoghurt, cereals, bacon, ham, breads and eggs made to your choice. Restaurant - they have a steakhouse that i skipped because the only veg options were tomato soup and salad. location - quite close to gevelsberg centre which has a smatter of restaurants including italian, german and thai price- reasonable for such a decently managed clean hotel wifi - free and effective

Hotel is situated in a quiet area and so is Gevelsberg. There are few good restaurants around. In-house restaurant is also good. Breakfast has options and is really good. Will stay at same hotel if i will go again.
