Lorelei Resort Motel

This is a quaint, friendly, quiet, laid back & reasonably priced place in Treasure Island. Stayed in room 6 upstairs for 6 nights. Not the Ritz and didn't expect it to be, but room was clean and welcoming. Particularly liked that rooms are non-smoking. Had full-size refrigerator, microwave & electric stove. Necessary dishes & cookware are provided. Normal hotel shampoo, conditioner, lotion & soap were there. Also dish soap in kitchenette, hair dryer and ironboard. Shower is tiled stall; no tub. Had a closet for suitcases & hanging clothes. Dresser, nightstand, table & chair & livingroom chair. Queen bed was softer than our hard bed at home. Rooms have small plastic table & two chairs outside to enjoy a wonderful breeze off the water. Must pick up after yourself; no daily maid service or towel changes (just ask if you need clean towels). It's pet friendly & almost everyone but us had a dog. Absolutely no issues with barking & the dogs were friendly. Blue & George live there and patrol while their mom, Maria, manages everything. Late check-in wasn't a problem-notified Maria ahead of time & stayed in contact via text. Office usually isn't open, but Maria is almost always doing something around the place. No car w/us. Recommend FreeIslandHopper, trolley, taxi or Uber. Publix is short walk away. See dolphins & manatee & fishing from dock. Blue Heron waits on dock for spare fish. Easy access to beach across street. Loved our stay! Thanks Maria for wonderful time!

The Lorelei Resort is a hidden gem! I usually stay at the iResort down the road a bit, but this is now my favorite spot. I love the atmosphere and home like feeling. Every person from staff to the other people staying at the resort. The best part is that it is animal friendly!

There was a full-size refrigerator, microwave and electric stove. Necessary dishes and cookware are provided. Normal hotel shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap were waiting for us as was dish soap in the kitchenette. The shower is a tiled stall--no tub. We had a closet for our suitcases and hanging clothes (where you will find an ironing board and iron). There was a small table and chair, plus a livingroom style chair. The queen bed was softer than we are used to, but we prefer a hard mattress. Each room has a small plastic table and two chairs outside for enjoying the wonderful breeze that usually comes off the water. You will need to pick up after yourself in the room as there is not daily maid service or towel changes (just ask if you need clean towels). The place is pet friendly and almost everyone had a dog along. We had absolutely no issues with barking and the dogs were friendly. Blue and George live there and patrol the place while their mom, Maria, manages everything. We had late check-in which wasn't a problem--just notified Maria ahead of time and stayed in contact via text. The office usually isn't open, but Maria is almost always doing something around the place. There are a few guests who stay long term over the winter months and can make recommendations on places to visit. We did not have a car, but it's easy enough to get around the area with the local transportation. I would recommend using FreeIslandHopper (ride is free; drivers work for tips only) for local rides. There is also a trolly and, of course, Uber and taxi. Publix is a short walk for just about anything you'll need. Easy access to the beach is across the street. We saw dolphins and a manatee from the back patio. Hubby fished from the dock each evening and figured out the trick to catch a few different species. He brought his own light tackle so didn't catch anything huge, but had a great time! A blue heron hangs around the dock area and waits for handouts from the fishermen and women. Can't say enough good things about the resort and will go back if we ever visit Treasure Island again! Thank you, Maria, for a wonderful time!

Enjoyed our 3 night stay very much. Older place with old Florida charm. Everyone we met here was super friendly and Maria is a great host. The room was very clean and comfortable. The beach is very close and the back patio on the water is very relaxing. It was also fun meeting the various dogs that were there.

This little gem was perfect spot for us! Maria was welcoming and so friendly. We had our pups with us- which the property and other guests were great about. Everyone is super respectful of each other, which allows you to really enjoy yourself even while vacationing with the pooches. We had a wonderful time, we will definitely be back!

I just returned from the most relaxing trip to the Lorelei! It’s an older property that is so well cared for and kept spotlessly clean! The rooms have everything you need and there are multiple places to lounge around the property, including a peaceful deck right on the bay. The perfect location, with the beach right across the street, Publix grocery store two doors down, and plenty of shopping, restaurants, and bars within a short walk. Maria was a wonderful host, going above and beyond to make sure I had what I needed and was comfortable. She and the longer term guests were friendly and helpful throughout my stay, from letting me borrow a beach chair to cutting aloe for my sunburn :-) As a solo female traveler, I felt safe and comfortable at the Lorelei and would highly recommend it for other solo travelers. I very much hope to return next year!

Very convenient. Clean simple room perfect as a home base for everything nearby.

Maria and the beautiful people that stay there are like hanging out with friends. It’s a pets hotel, lol! you are welcomed by dogs and cool friendly people.
