A Place at the Beach

It had everything for a family . Washer and dryer inside 2 bedroom units , playground , indoor and outdoor pool, water slide . Very nice !

This is our annual stay at A Place At The Beach for over 20 years. We also used to own a unit. our horrible experience and pictures on this vacation. The place was so dirty when we walked in I had to clean it. I just thought that it was the beach and dusty. I thought wrong. My family including me can’t stop coughing or sneezing. Due to all the dust and dirt in every corner. The patio is disgusting. The carpet is ay least 20 years old. I am sure there are flies in it. Moldy shower curtains, no screens on windows, doors off the tracks. I could go on and on. Please see photos attached. I also would like someone to contact me so we can move out of this space. The air conditioner does not work and the front office has no clue how to help me. Please see pictures below.

My children absolutely loved staying here. They have asked to return again. The pool and waterslide were the highlight of the trip. The resort has a nice setup right on the beach. The staff were extremely nice. The condo was clean upon our arrival. I would have given a perfect rating but I requested a non-smoking unit since I have severe allergies. I have no doubt this was intended to be a non-smoking unit It was obvious prior guests didn't comply. The pillows and bedding smelled of smoke and there was even a cigarette burn in the blanket on the bed. I did bring my own pillow, blanket, and sheets and upped my allergy medication which helped significantly. Because the smoke was deep in the mattress, I still woke up every day with a sore throat, irritated eyes, and a runny nose. Since this was advertised as luxury units, I would also suggest some updates. Outside of this, I was extremely pleased and we had a wonderful vacation.

Will definitely stay here again but for longer next time!

Check in- so you need a code to enter. Security guard does not want to let you in with the code. Do you know where the code is? It’s on the envelop you get when you check in. Which check-in is at 4, office closes at 5. Thank god I got in at 4:50 because I was given ZERO instructions on how to use the after hours check-in policy. A few hours after we saw a crowd staring at the boxes trying to figure out how to get their keys. Ridiculous. The room- needed a deep clean a decade ago. Soft spots in the floors where clearly the subfloor was rotten. It would be fine if we were paying what the time share folks pay (maybe) but the ridiculous nightly rate, totally catfished by the photos. The TV had all the HDMI cords and etc. unplugged but we put it back together and got it figured out. The property- Prepare to legit walk a mile to the beach. The outdoor pool was freezing but a really nice set up. The indoor pool had so much choline and our party broke out in rashes abs eyes were red/swollen/watery for days. Security- there was a strange teen walking around the premises and he came into the indoor pool when we were there. He was talking to himself and kind of freaked out the children when he crawled out the window instead of using the door but we had a discussion about mental health and moved on. UNTIL the security guard stopped us at night walking back (still smoking her black and mild), telling us how he could be dangerous and we needed to find him… over and over 🙄

I like that i didnt have to go rent a wheelchair for the beach for my hisband they had one in property and even though it may needed a little work to it he enjoyed it and the time on the beach thank you

Loved the atmosphere- very family friendly. Loved our room- plenty of space and so close to the beach. We had a blast!
