Hotel Costa del Sol

s The location is excellent but the building needs maintenance. The desk personnel was not very friendly. We did not have a glass or even a plastic cup in the room to brush our teeth. The furniture was old and in bad condition. There was a horrible noise in the corridors. Air conditioner deficient, room hot especially during the day. Itseem that they never sweep & mop the floor in the rooms. The food was good but the restaurant personnel was not friendly..The parking lot was usually closed and unattended.

The hotel does not even have hot water, the beds are hard, the noise from the wind, the food awful As they say in Spanish, nunca mas estoy en esta hotel. It means I will NEVER stay there again! I should have read more carefully the other reviews! Not at all a 21st century set-up, very poorly run restaurant and no wifi anywhere except in the main lobby! Not a signal to be found outside of the lobby! Over all, terrible place for the cost!

THE HOTEL STAFF WERE VERY RUDE ,THE FOOD WAS TERRIBLE, THE FOOD WAS VERY LOW QUALITY WHEN SOMETHING WAS FINISHED FOR EXAMPLE DESERT YOU WERE OUT OF LUCK,I CHOOSE TO EAT OUT INSTEAD THE MATRSSS WAS 50 YRS OLD,NO SHOWER HEAD THE SINK WAS PLUG ED UP.\,THE HAIR DRYER DID NOT WORK .I TOLD ALL THE THINGS THAT NEEDED TO BE FIXED ,AND THE HOTEL STAFF IGNORED ME YOU HAD TO BEGGTO GET TOWELS,THEY NEVER PROVIDED YOU WITH SHAMPOO OR OTHER THINGS THAT OTHER HOTELS PROVIDE,THE CLEANNING CREW WRW BANGING AT YOUR DOOR AT 8 AM TO CLEAN YOUR ROOM,.AND SOMETIMES THEY WANTED TO COME IN TO CLEAN THE ROOM WIT YOU INSIDE ,THEY ONLY CHANE SHEETS IF YOU TELL THEM ,I CAN GO ON AND ON BUT IT WONT CHANGE ANYTHING.

The windows couldn't be opened and Air conditioning is only general - you couldn't arrange it.

It was bad the hotel was horrible the rooms, the elevator, the halls they all smelled bad.

Dont stay in this hotel at all, these people are not very professional at all, there service sucks... They love to turn your Air Conditioner off when it is 100 degrees extremely hot in Cartagena. And when you call them to complain about on why did they turn of your A.C They take 3 hours to give you Air back. It is not worth staying in this hotel at all, I advice you guys to choose something diffrent then this pathetic hotel with lazy staff

Don't expect this hotel to be a high end one. With that in mind, you will have a decent sleep, food and relaxing time in Cartagena. I read all the reviews from guests stayed at this hotel, and I was quite worried about what was waiting for me after I made a reservation. First of all, most staff members don't speak English (or they may not speak but understand). They were all nice and helpful though. All meals were included and I had no complaints about it at all. There are plenty of restaurants in the area, and you may find something you like outside the hotel if you don't like what they offer. Pool area was a bit small but ok to relax and enjoy the sun. For the price I paid, I didn't expect much but had a good stay in Cartagena. I went to some other hotels in that area during my stay (as I was there for hotel inspections for my side job), and saw the worse with much higher price!

My stay at the Costa del Sol was very pleasant,with a very friendly staff,very courteous.The hotel needs some up-keep.It has a window where I stayed that needs some repairs,it does not close tight.The ceiling on the 4th floor has a leakage,however,in general,this hotel does give the client a good memory with a friendly stall,excellent food.That..I loved...

As I entered this hotel there was no access for my 74 year old mother who is currently disabled. Walking up the stairs there was a horrible stench that smelled like urine and food. Our hotel room was not ready when we arrived around 8 pm and were given the room until about 9 pm, we were unable to use the restroom in the lobby because it again had a terrible stench with toilet paper on the floor toilets un flushed. We requested a room for 4 and were given a room that looked like it was meant for 2 people. There was on double bed and they placed one matress barely off the floor and another that hung off the side absolutely unsafe to lay on so we had to place it on the floor to avoid any accidents. A room with a view to the beach was not given to us...we switched rooms the next morning but still had a room that was not much more decent. There were no outlets available unless we lifted up the bed frame, we had to call the front desk multiple times to get clean towels and even had to wait from 10 am ( the first time we called)until 6 pm to have the safe unlocked. Due to this we had to carry our possessions that should have been placed in the safe all day until we arrived at 6 pm. At 6 my husband had to search for the lady with the key to have it unlocked 8 hrs later.. We had no wifi connection in our room as well as no running hot water in the shower. It is uncomfortable to want to avoid returning to your hotel during the day because of these unsanitary and unwelcoming conditions.
