Victoria - Alpine Boutique Hotel & Fine Dining

Such a wonderful hotel. Gorgeous rooms, delicious food, and the owner (Simon) was so friendly and kindly helped my husband and I set up our ski touring equipment in his downstairs workshop and even gave us tips on ski touring because he is an incredible athlete! We so appreciated all the attention to detail at his fabulous hotel - highly recommend.

Every thing was perfect

The support of the owner providing travel intineraries for our motorcycle tour through the Alps Passes. The Great Food in Michelin style dinners. Kindness of all the team. Brand Knew Facilities, modern style.

Nothing, everything was great !

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth by the owners Francezka & Simon. We were on a 7 day hikers package which included breakfast and dinner. Cleanliness of our room could not be faulted, nor the courteousness of the staff. We were sorry to leave at the end of the week - and would highly recommend others to stay in this family run establishment.

The hotel is located very close to the bus & train station and opposite the Sherlock Holmes museum, with the main street just a few minutes walk away. It has a nice terrace where you can sit and watch the world go by. The room was very comfortable, it did get quite warm but we discovered that you could put the electronic shutter down on the outside of the window whilst you were out during the day which helped keep it cooler. The food was very good, service was a little slow on our first night but this was due to a large group that were dining there too, the second night was much better. They provide complimentary iced coffee & cake at 4pm and they have complimentary juice & water with fruit available too, which is why we were very surprised that we were charged 10 CHF over our two nights for tap water with our meal. We did query this on check out and were told it "was a Swiss thing" but we didn't experience this anywhere else on our 2 week trip in Switzerland. You can use the hotel guest card to obtain a discount at the Sherlock Holmes museum and I believe at Aare gorge. This was a very nice base in Meiringen.
