It is a stylish boutique hotel, it feels brand new and luxurious. The room and hotel in general is super clean, the room is comfortable and comes with some extras like fruit and Toblerone bites, the breakfast is wonderful, the location is spot-on next to the railway station. Very good communication by email before the stay, including a guest card.

Elegant and relaxed atmosphere. Lovely food. Very handy for either exploring nearby hikes or for getting the train to elsewhere.

Meiringen itself is small and some restaurants and cafes and mountain lifts were closed on some days because it was September. Fortunately dinner in the hotel was very good.

Stayed at the Victoria Hotel for 2 nights in mid-August. The rooms are modern, and the bathroom was large. We very much enjoyed breakfast, dinner, and the cakes in the afternoon. The Victoria website advertises extensive hiking recommendations, but the woman on duty during our visit wasn't helpful when were were deciding whether to hike at Reichenbach Falls or the Rosenlaui Gorge. Also, guests should be aware that the hotel isn't air conditioned. It was 86F/30C during our visit, and the room was uninhabitable during the day; the hotel should provide fans. Despite these issues, we liked the hotel and would stay there again, perhaps at a cooler time of year.
