Chevron Palms

Still waiting for refund after being evacuated due to fire. Can’t get a hold of anyone at the hotel. Very poor behaviour

There was no lock on the balcony door and despite many attempts to have to fixed, it was not fixed. This left us feeling very unsafe. It’s completely unacceptable

There was no elevator to bring suitcases to the room. We had to carry 30kg suitcases up 3 flights of stairs. These suitcases were dragged down the stair case and 3am for an early morning flight and woke people up. We could hear people in the other rooms and their TVs. We had maintenance people knock on our door early in the morning to service the air conditioning that we were not expecting. The pool was dirty. The walls and curtains were filthy. Some of the curtains were broken.

Good location, close to amenities and walking distance to the surfers paradise beach

Aircon was dripping at 4 days, kitchen handles were broken, reception is closed on weekends and closes quite early on weekdays

They came with no notice to install new blinds in the room

Location was close to everything. Exterior very clean and staff member eager to please. Pool and BBQ area clean and relaxing area. Parking was allocated and very secure

Apartment No 5 was in very poor condition with very few kitchen pots, pans, crockery, glasses or cooking utensils. We needed to purchase to get through our stay.. Apartment looked like it had been furnished by making use of council clean up piles from side of roads. Major plumbing defects that were addressed during our stay. Two construction sites outside room one to the right and one behind. No sleep in available here. Mould on base of shower screen, washing machine had caked on soap from someone pouring soup liquid into conditioner holder, had to soak it overnight to loosen up and filter was totally clogged. Bedroom sliding door rollers were u/s we needed to lift door to open and screen door had no mesh. No aircond in bedroom and no ability to open door made nights very uncomfortable. Towel rail and toilet roll holder about to fall off wall and large hole in fly wire on window screen. Bed had large stain on it on one end with small hole in it. We made a joke about it saying it looked like someone had been shot in the head and they only flipped the mattress rather than replacing it or maybe they did get it from a crime scene for nicks.

Location to Surfers Paradise.

What a disgrace. There should be a standard or decency and cleanliness. This unit has neither. We are on holidays and expect the facilities we booked and stated in our booking to be truthful. - no air conditioning - dirty/ stained carpets, lounges, curtains and sheets. - broken furniture including ripped lounge, broken tv units bedroom door that won’t close. - bathroom cupboards unusable due to stench. - Fan in lounge room unable to go above level 1 due to noise. - no air dryer or clothes hangers as stated in unit facilities. - patio deck unusable due to being on the boundary to construction site next door that commences work at 6:30am. This is no holiday apartment.

The location is excellent.

The place is a bit ran down. Lighting in the room was not sufficient, the fans were dirty. We stayed for 6 nights and no housekeeping, toilet paper was not replaced. The balcony door did not have a lock, I raised the concern but no response about it.

The room was old and run down the permant residence where very unfriendly and you get a parking spot included with your room but got back 1 day and a permanent resident was parked in the post and verbally abused me saying it was a visitors spot when questioned and asked to move her vehicle
