Easy to get to

Excellent stay. The room itself was good but the fixed shower head was rather high which allowed shower water to go over the shower screen. We informed the staff os this as an observation but it in no way spoiled our stay.

Wonderful classic hotel in the middle of Cambridge. Spa treatments were fantastic and had a very pleasant stay. Only things missing were a pool and access to the roof terrace (closed during the week due to cooler weather).

Comfortable, individualised rooms with good amenities, friendly staff, good continental breakfast choices. Really convenient for the city centre. Would definitely stay again.

Friendly and very helpful staff. Excellent location for access to city centre. Noise from service area below was an issue especially in room 210. Hotels.com did not inform on the parking fees on initial booking, only on booking confirmation

Excellent hotel: very helpful, efficient and friendly staff. Comfortable room, well equipped but smallish bathroom. Continental breakfast excellent: buffet style with lots of choice. We had dinner at the restaurant one evening and the food was delicious. We would happily stay at the Varsity again.

Wonderful hotel. My only two issues are that I had a "do not disturb" sign up because I did not want anyone coming into my room while I was away but housekeeping ignored the sign, came in, moved my things to clean, and removed the do not disturb sign. Furthermore, the shower is not easy to get into if you are short (I am 5 feet) or have any leg mobility issues since you have to step up very high to get into the tub.

Amazing steak in the river bar. And an amazing massage in the spa. Lovely staff. Lovely breakfast. Nice rooms comfy bed. Great location.
