"Fellworth House was a fantastic place to stay"

It has large rooms and i it is very comfy. It also has a great view. The driveway is a bit tricky to find as it's about 50mtrs down from where you think it will be. Keep looking for it because it's worth it. I'll definitely stay again! Thanks

Fellworth house were very accommodating for me when I turned up late, the day after I made the actual booking for. They put me in their backup room for the price of the Butler's room. My only slight issue was that I prefer harder mattresses and this room had one of the softest during my stay in New Zealand.

The hotel is located on top of a hill with lovely views of Picton. It is a charming old mansion which has been renovated. There is a shared kitchen, eating areas and places to sit and enjoy the view. The bathrooms are nice. There is free wi-fi and access to a phone to make local calls for booking of taxis, tours, etc. There is a convenience store, pub and takeaway store which sells pizza, hamburgers and fish & chips which is 5 minutes walk away on Milton St north. It is about 10 minutes walk to Hardy Street (main restaurant/pub area). The hotel is also very close to a couple of good walks - Centre of NZ and Mattai Valley (along the the River). It is a 10 minute walk to the iSite along the river. Taxi fare from to/from the town centre off-peak is approx NZD 7.

Facilities: Good; Value: Bargain, Amazing; Service: Inoffensive, See below.; Cleanliness: Spotless; Unusual not meeting the owners. Returning late there was no way to lock the hotels front door without the possibility of locking out another guest.

"nice hotel but difficult to find at night"

Nice large house set on a hill with individual rooms, comfortable stay overall. However, the signage for the hotel is not great and it's hard to find at night (have to follow the signs to dentist and go up the hill).
