Taunton House Hotel

Nothing wrong with this place. There is dedicated parking beside the hotel. To get in you need to text a number which is given on the door of the hotel and then follow instructions for how to work the key pad which opens the door. The text then gives you your room number and the key is in the door of your room (if I have remembered that correctly!?!). The room was very clean and with all that you need for an overnight stay. Bathroom clean with fresh towels and shower gel provided. The area was quiet. Useful to have a Sainsbury's almost directly opposite. Breakfast is not provided, so less value for money than some other places. I did not see any staff at the hotel, so gave a 4. There is a phone number that you can ring, but that seems a little more intrusive than having a member of staff at reception.

Beautiful town house in the heart of Taunton. Location was spot on right in the town centre just across the road. Lots of boutique shops and places to eat. The place is very grand and inviting. Our room was very specious we were surprised and the attention to detail was very good. Great to be able to leave the car and explore Taunton also.

My company booked here for a business trip in the area. The superior room was very nicely decorated and modern, also spacious with a nice seating area. The WiFi was very fast which was essential. Also very good to have free parking right in the town centre. Felt very trendy and a good vibe also. Rm 11 I would recommend.

Booked here last minute on the way down to Cornwall with the family. Very spacious family room with seating area. The place was spotless very clean. The town centre was just across the road so could easily go out for dinner. Will be back on our next visit to the area. Host was very helpful and fast with replying.

Taunton town house is a grand building Victorian in fact. Very modern inside with nice little touches. The room was large and felt very homely. WiFi was very fast and very easy to connect. Free parking was essential and we thought it was very good value for money here.

Fantastic stay here in a superior room we booked. Large spacious room kept very clean with nice little touches in the room with luxury hand lotion and shower creams. Free parking was an added bonus right in the town centre also.

Terrible. We booked a 4 poster room. We arrived around 8pm to find all the radiators in the room were off (february) so we turned them on but the heating was timed to turn off shortly afterwards so we were left cold all night. The bed was lumpy, sheets didn't fit and the room was dirty, especially the radiators that are caked in dust. Radiator in bathroom didnt work at all and the shower ran initially scolding hot then switched to freezing cold. Terrible place.
