Riad B&B Marrakech

This riad has a fantastic location in the medina. The manager, Mohammed, is super helpful and a fun person. The rooftop has a lovely view of sunrise and sunset towards the minaret. The breakfast is good. We did have to request that the water be hotter for all our rooms, but Mohammed fixed the issue immediately.

Mohammed was one of the best things about Riad BB Marrakech - he bent over backwards to accommodate our early starts for tours to Essaouira and Merzouga, making sure that we had breakfast items to take with us and keeping our sandwiches overnight jn the fridge. He was clearly incredibly busy, yet I never saw him without a smile on his face. Otherwise it was so good to start our first day in Marrakech with a rooftop breakfast while enjoying the beautiful view of the city. The riad is brilliantly located to enjoy all the main attractions in the Medina. The room had a combined heating/air conditioning system which was useful on a cold winter's evening.

***Review written by Kristin*** My overall stay was pleasant and so I'm reluctant to be critical, however a couple of cold showers really made some mornings fairly uncomfortable... Apparently the water is heated by gas canisters and on one occasion the gas ran out. The storage tank is also on the roof, and so also gets incredibly cold overnight during the winter - something to bear in mind if showering in the morning. Several lights were also broken in the room and bathroom, and weren't able to be fixed during our stay - this made it a fairly difficult to see properly in a windowless room (a feature of most riads where rooms look out onto an inner courtyard).

We arrived in Marrakech after 4 days in the desert. Marrakech's a very busy city and Riad BB is a great place to relax and have a break from the fast paced city. Mohamed is very friendly and helpful and made our stay perfect. He wants to help you as much as possible. The riad is a great location. Close to the Medina and square but also close to the road for quick drop off and pick up. Breakfast on the roof top is fantastic and a great way to start the day

The paint on the walls was peeling off and collecting on the floor, but they cleaned as soon as I asked. Several light bulbs were either dim or not working, but I found it to be very common in Morocco. WiFi was a bit patchy (also very common in riads).

Average place, we had a room on the terrace which was very cold and small. Staff wasn’t always available but when there we found it friendly.
