The Park Hotel Ruapehu

Great location

On site restaurant was very average. Quality of food was poor considering the cost.

The jacuzzi wasn't working well but the food was pretty good and the service was excellent

Bathrooms were a little small (not much bigger than an airplane bathroom with a shower but they were clean as were the beds.

That there was a restaurant on property and the staff was great

One bed was a bit uncomfortable but acceptable. The other was really good

The location is great if you are looking at hiking the Alpine Crossing or visiting the area in general. The staff were very friendly and professional. The restaurant was also very rustic and classy at the same time. Laundry facilities were handy.

The room was just one step up from a backpacker hostel. It did not match the upscale appearance of the lobby or restaurant. Very old, basic and in need of updating. It met our needs for three nights, but just barely.

Comfortable clean room. Location in the Tongarino National Park was good, vast area so driving needed, but central enough. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Ate in the hotel each night as very limited options for meals in the village. Good washing and drying facilities. Not much in the National Park Village itself only a couple of small shops and small cafe at railway station.

The room sound proofing wasn’t great as you could hear people moving about in the room above and the shower in the next room.
