Renaissance Tianjin Lakeview Hotel

Always first choice to stay when I am back in town. The subway in front of the hotel is finished with easy access to two lines. The people are super nice, especially Iris from France and Summer Xia from the front desk. The upgrade to lake view room is definitely a big plus.

My husband was here on business, so our plan was while he worked I was on my own to explore. However, because of weather and location the places I wanted to go by myself were not in a walkable distance. This also was my first time in China and I did not read or speak Chinese which left me a little blind trying to figure out how to get around the city. Lucky for me I met the heart of Tianjin in the lounge at the hotel. The employees were very friendly and helpful, giving me suggestions and making sure I got to where I was going....for example scheduling a yoga class for me or ordering out food. They helped me explore the city tasting different foods and learning about their culture. Thanks to Olina, Lisa and Rebekah my stay in Tianjin was amazing and I hope to return!!

Great hotel for business. Stayed here for 9 days in March 2019 had great experience. The location: Very close to the city government of Tianjin and a high end shopping mall. Many food options near by including a Din Tai Fung. The dining options within the restaurant is not bad either. The room: I was given a room with lake view. You can see all the skyscrapers far away. Definitely as for a room with lake view if it is available. The room is a typical Renaissance room. Lake view rooms are slight more spacious than rooms at the other side of the building. The food: Breakfast features a fresh pressed juice station and a jiangbingguozi station. The first floor breakfast spot also has a big section of Japan/Korean food options. Breakfast at the first floor can be crowded. The executive lounge has less breakfast options, but much better ambience. The service: They tried their best to accommodate all of my request. I was able to check in at 8am and check out at 4pm. The team working at the executive lounge was very helpful during my stay. One exception is the lobby lounge. I was sitting at the lobby lounge waiting for someone and a person from the hotel came to me asked me if I needed to order anything. I said no, then the person told me the lobby lounge is only for people who make purchases (implying I need to leave). I found that rude and unreasonable, especially the lobby lounge only had less than 10% occupancy at that time. Other facilities: The gym was very well equipped. The locker room has both steam room, a sauna, and a whirlpool [couldn't figure out how to turn it on]. The exercising facility is shared with the Marriott Executive Apt. Overall, had very good experience here. Will come back again.

Overall stay was a very good experience, I took a break and hotel ensures security of my luggage while I was traveling during weekends and come back check in on Sunday. Only drawback with this property was breakfast, it was so much focused on local taste and 100% meat items was pork, no chicken and beef options available. Breakfast should come up varieties considering international traveler as well. Bed - 7/10 Amenities - 6.5/10 Breakfast - 4/10 Meals - 6/10 Staff support - 8/10 Location - 8/10 Value for money - 6.5/10

Very good hotel, front desk team are so cooperative, room is big with comfortable bed, roome service is good, nice breakfast buffet, the fire house resturant is really good and the food is tasty, totaly nice hotel

This was my first time in a Renaissance hotel and the experience was really good from the time of checkin till checkout. I have stayed in quite a few hotels in Tianjin including other brands of Marriott-SPG group and I would rate the service quality in this hotel is a notch above the benchmark. There’s no overdoing, they just do things right which could be experienced overall from front desk to restaurants to concierge to Club lounge. Sure, I would be happy to recommend this hotel to others and to be a returning guest myself if I visit around this area again. Thank you Team Renaissance!

Hotels.com made mistakenly sent wrong info to hotel a d i had some problems with checking in at front desk but hotel resolved it. Service representative at front desk Miss sun kim was very helpful and kind
