Very helpful friendly staff. Beautiful location. Appetising breakfast. Lovely tapas dinner. Preferred bedrooms in the hotel itself rather than those at the rear of the hotel.

Beautiful scenery would of been nice with lighting outside as many people were sitting out

One night stay. Staff are great and the food very good for the price with some tasty dishes on the menu. Bed comfortable but felt the room was pretty dated for the price.

Excellent hotel in a beautiful, peaceful location with glorious views and beach walks from the door. Well maintained, spotlessly clean rooms and the biggest shower we've ever had! The staff are smiley and helpful and the breakfast is first class. The tapas restaurant is a must - a huge variety to choose from and all tasty and well-presented. We were only there for one night but wanted more! We'll be back...

From the moment we stepped foot inside the hotel we felt at home.Warm,friendly & helpful staff.Lovely room overlooking the Solway Firth.Spotlessly clean & even had a tassimo coffee machine in the room.Evening meal,tapas style in the on site restaurant Del Amitri was excellent .Plenty of choice & gluten free plentiful also .Breakfast next morning included in cost of stay was excellent also.Plenty of choice & gluten free choices & gluten free toast available.We opted for toast & jam,fruit juice,coffee,tea & full scottish cooked breakfast.Huge ,perfectly cooked plateful Delicious ! We will certainly stay again.Many thanks to all the staff

From arrival to departure all the staff were very friendly and attentive, interested and knowledgeable about the area. The rooms were very well presented, clean and comfortable. Food was excellent both for dinner and breakfast

stayed for the one night only after the internment of a family member at a local burial ground. We could not fault the hotel for its friendly staff, great food and a very comfortable king size bed. So peaceful, with views over the Solway and golf course and no traffic noise. Great place to unwind.

What a wonderful hotel! Stayed with friends after one had been before and recommdended the rooms, service and food. A big shout out to the wonderful Margaret at the desk, and to Lisa on service and area recommendations. In fact, all staff were very helpful and friendly and could not have made our stay more enjoyable. The food was great and the tapas meals really suited us as you could pick and choose a few combinations each night. Would definitely stay again. You need a car but plenty to do in the area if you want to explore the coast. The beds were comfortable, and the cleaning spotless. Thanks Powfoot Hotel . You deserve more than your current 3 star rating.
