Patten Arms Hotel

Overall exvellent. Came back for a second stay. Well located. Airports. Buses. Trains.. Breakfast high in fats.

Quaint more like aB+B than hotel. Room clean. Large towels and hot shower appreciated after innternation long haul flight. Good train connection to manchester airport. Need more staff at recceptionn to book in. Need. stronger wifi reception. Kind staff.

When I arrived at the ‘hotel’ I was told my payment hadn’t gone through and was charged again. I checked my bank statement- I paid Expedia on 26:6/19.

stayed there already and disappointed with evening meal, hotel is old and dated

Staff were so helpful. I had a trsin to catch early so they made me a breakfast to take with me.

Staff were good, breakfast was excellant, dinner not so good, this is an old hotel thats showing its age and is a bit tired. Parking is a problem but they do there best to squeeze about 6 cars in, when theres more I haven't a clue what they do.

At £43 for a clean room with private bathroom including a good breakfast I would say it is excellent value

Good breakfast. adequate room but enough for me - I didn't expect 4 star luxury. Friendly staff. Overall I enjoyed my stay

Rude staff, wouldn’t even let me put my friends handbag in my room while we went into town, patronising and not helpful in the slightest. Corridor and room stunk of weed. Woke up the next morning and I could smell it on myself. Layers of dust and cobwebs on the lamp. Only plus side was the bed being comfortable. Didn’t want to risk breakfast given the cleanliness of the rest of the hotel. Loud noises from the train station and police station either side which, in all fairness, couldn’t be helped- though getting double glazing on the windows to keep the noise out would be a start. I was told by one member of staff that the man who was rude and patronising was the owner, so nobody was even remotely interested when I criticised him. You’d have to pay me to get me to stay here again. I’d rather rough it out in a 24 hour maccies until the first bus then come here through choice.

Although it was good value for money and had a good breakfast, it was very run down and in need of some tlc. Staff were friendly and close to railway station but other than that not many positives.
