The property both in the rooms and the restaurant are needing a little tlc I understand it's a pub but also trading as a hotel. Whilst I get breakfast waste is a problem for businesses I feel they could offer more on the selection of food offered at the table.
A busy pub but super large and modern room. All quiet by midnight. A very nice breakfast. Helpful staff. Good. No complaints.
We stayed as a group of friends for the one night only on a motorcycling tour of Cornwall. The Pub was tired and obviously a locals pub. The room was off the courtyard and again was very tired and would not have wanted to stay in winter as I would imagine it would be very cold. The shower worked well. There was a kettle and coffee but we decided against drinking coffee as the inside of the kettle was very old and covered in black scale! It served the purpose but would not stay there again

Attempts to update only partially successful Breakfast menu a joke.Only two options either Full breakfast or porridge with no adaptions possible. Place needs insulating . Every conversation heard wherever in building consequently no sleep at night.
Great hotel, excellent staff and services. Room was largevand comfortable, modern bathroom. Restaurant was exceptional.

The bar was very noisy on Friday and Saturday nights. The front door was surrounded by smokers making entry unpleasant.
Disappointing. Knew we had an early check out, point blank refused to offer a take out breakfast option, as nearly all hotels will if you are leaving before the “free” breakfast. The room itself was reasonably clean, but stiflingly hot, on a day when it was almost 30degrees, they decided to leave the curtains open all day and let the heat stream in through the full glass door and windows. No fans available, blasé attitude from management about that, and minimal apology when we were charged £10 more for the room, this was an accidental error by staff, but could easily have been missed. The bar staff were lovely, the room was not worth the money, the pub is rough as a badgers proverbial, absolutely would not recommend it. Went somewhere else to eat and speaking to other hospitality staff and locals, this place is an embarrassment to the area. Despite withholding my name on the review, I know the management will know who I am due to email communication before check in. I do not care ….. I absolutely will not be returning, I’d rather sleep in my car
