Spacious lodge with friendly staff. We enjoyed the delicious breakfast. It was very nice to wake up to the sound of birds and other animals.

"Paradise found! "

Paradise found! Francisco took us on a great bird tour! Fantastic food. Beds comfortable, we saw tucanets, quetzals, wood creepers and many other birds. We are planning our next trip.

We had a wonderful time and were able to see other accommodations during a pick up service… Pur friends and I liked Cala Lodge best because it was in the forest and away from downtown.

Great staff! Very helpful and patient when I asked for help booking drivers and organizing excursions. Also the rooms were really lovely, the grounds are gorgeous and it has a great breakfast. Worth going for sure.

Rooms not what I expected. Pictures dont always tell the truth. could not fit more than two people in there if that they do have most amenities but no TV but very basic and small. The grounds are beautiful and the birdwatching is good if it’s not too windy or rainy. Breakfast was ok.

"Eco friendly and cozy "

Really lovely lodging. Located between town and the preserve. It is walkable to downtown but expect a steep climb back to the hotel. Very eco friendly with great staff and recommendations. Beautiful balcony to eat breakfast and take in the local birds. Rooms are cute.

The Lodge is situated in a park like setting in or near Santa Elena. The rooms are nicely appointed with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms featuring powerful hot water showers. The staff was extremely kind and helpful. Manuel in particular went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. A complimentary breakfast was served in a dining area that overlooks the Lodge's beautiful grounds. In conclusion we could not have been happier with our stay at the Cala Lodge.
