The decor, location and ambience. Great and plentiful breakfast.

Coffee machine in room still had a previous guests pod in it. Dried spilt milk on tray. Bathroom shower could have been cleaner. Room was cramped and very warm, thankfully the window coulb opened a little.

My husband and I recently stayed at the King’s head. Honestly, we cannot say enough about how wonderful this place was. The room was everything they described and extremely comfortable. All of the amenities plus some you didn’t think of were included from the soft fluffy towels to the warming rack in the bathroom and a carafe of springwater on our arrival. The staff made us feel welcome from the moment we stepped in the door and the food was superb. The menu offered wild game and a selection that you would not expect in a pub. The breakfast which was included in our stay was brilliant. If you’re looking for a relaxing stay, you cannot go wrong with this choice. Just 30 minutes out of Winchester, where we visited the Winchester Cathedral, and only 45 minutes from Portsmouth, where we visited the historic docks. We highly recommend this establishment.

The Kings Head hotel has recently been refurbished and the bar / restaurant has been tastefully decorated. The breakfast was excellent and my room was quiet and well-equipped, check-in was seamless and the staff were all friendly and helpful. The location is close to the M3 making it perfect for short stay, local business appointments (or longer if planning to use it as a base for sightseeing in Winchester.) Ample free car parking at the side of the property.

Really lovely decor in the rooms - way better than most hotels! The pub downstairs is exactly the kind of pub you'd want to go for a drink at, so it's the perfect combination. Staff were friendly and there was an out of hours entrance so we could get to the room after the pub closed. Really enjoyed our stay.

Really comfortable bed and the beer was excellent.

Leuk klein hotel met heel vriendelijk personeel. Heerlijk bed met zachte lakens. Lekker diner in het restaurant en ook het ontbijt was top.

Let wel op als je 1 glas wijn besteld: £ 12 is toch wel erg veel voor 1 glas.

Clean excellent facilities.

Breakfast a bit pricy.
