Hotel Dom Luis

My room was remodeled and was clean. Had the basic amenities and decent Wi-Fi. The corridor is not clean and floor is noisy, old and dirty. Opening and closing doors from other rooms can be disruptive. The hotel does not have a bar or restaurant and if you want to have a drink or a bite, the staff just tells the guest that the closest is a snack bar on top of a gas station next door. Not nice. Breakfast is a very basic continental buffet. In my opinion, with a little help this hotel could do much better. After all Elvas is a UNESCO site.

With everything new or remodeled, it is clean, comfortable and with great location and beautiful view of the aqueduct. With very good breakfast, the only downside of this hotel is its very slow internet.

The hotel was just lovely. Just needed tea and coffeee making facilities in the room.

Basic hotel. Pro: good location, parking, renovated rooms. Con: noisy, not fully refurbished (like corridors), simple breakfast, light in bathroom operated by movement detector, forcing you to move at least once per minute

Good bed, clean room, great location and nice breakfest. No higyene products, just wall soap dispenser. Maybe the pool can be used but don't create great expectations. There's a nice pool park near in Badajoz.

We'd booked this hotel quite some time ago, simply by searching the internet and using Google maps. What luck to find that it was all it promised. The hotel is nicely positioned opposite the magnificent 16th century Amoreira Aqueduct. Furthermore, it is just a 10-minute walk from the old town, which is well worth a visit. The hotel and its rooms are very clean and comfortable with ample public parking just across the road. Breakfast was included in the price and was great. I found the bed comfortable, my wife didn’t. Staff were helpful and polite. All in all, a great stay. The outside pool however, needs some attention. This area is infested with pigeons and the pool is surrounded by feathers and suchlike.

+ Hotel is nicely renewed, rooms are nice and comfortable, + good location, + we liked the breakfast as well. - Cleaning - we had a lot of black mold in the shower - The hotel has pegion problem - The pool area is littered with pegion poo and since there is no 'anti bird spikes' on the roof and window shelfs you can be waken up by a pegion siting on your window, if you have it open. - soundproofing is inadequate
