Very friendly, helpful staff. Very clean. Quite a good location, close to Kemptown shops, and a short walk to The Lanes, but not directly on the front. Everything smelled lovely. The jacuzzi was outside, which suited us perfectly - but it might not be so great in bad weather.

No lift to the upper floors. We had to pay separately for our use of the jacuzzi. We didn’t have the breakfast so can’t comment - but it did smell delicious as we went downstairs!

Self service breakfasts were excellent - lots of choice hot and cold. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom.

I’m not a fan of carpets.

We chose the Charm Hotel for a Birthday overnight stay with easy access from London. The hotel is nicely situated close to the seafront and pier and it is fronted by a public green space, both of which were in the view from the suite that we had booked. We were immediately impressed by the high level of cleanliness of the common areas and the suite itself. All staff that we interacted with were very presentable, friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious with a very comfortable large bed complete with very well laundered linen. We had breakfast in the spacious area at the rear of the building which also offered outside seating. The choice of food from the buffet was well presented and plentiful, although the provision of fresh baked goods would certainly raise the standard as I am not sure the current procedure for providing toasted processed bread requiring input from members of staff is that tempting, so we passed on that.

Our stay was let down by the bathroom. Although it was impeccably clean and fresh and an effort had been made with installing high end sanitary ware it just did not work for us and I felt it leaned towards a good social media photo at the expense of functionality and safety. The bath side was far too high and together with the absence of any hand rail made it impossible for my wife to use the bath /shower at all. The hand basin was also more designer than functional and offered her a scant alternative. Although I could access the shower it was not a pleasant experience and it felt as if one needed a knowledge of hydraulics together with pliers for fingers in order to work either the bath or shower satisfactorily.

Great location and the room was very clean and comfortable.
