Beautiful hotel with amazing garden and amazing pool, very relaxing atmosphere. The restaurant is amazing. Very peaceful and quiet. View is amazing. Staff were very nice and helpful.

The bed is quite small (double bed). It would be nice to have a bar close to the pool and the beach to have a drink at sunset. The art gallery is a bit pointless and the space could be used for a bar. we booked the tour to Balicasag island with the hotel, they could have provide a bit more info on how the tour was going to work.

Truly outstanding! 10/10 we can’t wait to come back! Super friendly staff. Clean rooms. Authentic vibes. Overall beautiful well maintained place. Gorgeous garden. Always staff around to help you out or guard the place. Lots of Filipino dishes to eat.

Authentic vibes Very clean Nice pool/beach area Delicious food (like in every hotel more expensive but prices are totally fair) The facility is in great condition. Even if you “look around the corner” everything is perfect. They thought about useful building materials and designed the area for best possible relaxation. They’re offering a pick up service free of charge for ferry/airport. We asked them for another pick up/drop off location which wasn’t a problem either

Loved my cosy room so much! Beautiful views of the beach, beautiful sunrises. You can hire kayaks and snorkelling gear to go exploring. All the staff are super nice and accomodating. I also enjoyed the extensive dvd collection when I just wanted to chill out in my room :) breakfast buffet was also acceptable !

The shower water pressure could have been stronger in my room. Also noted no lifts but the staff will always help with luggage (didn’t bother me, but just so people are aware for access).

Phenomenal boutique hotel with exceptional attention to detail and eco-sustainability. Wonderful decor, excellent restaurant, quiet, beach location and top class staff. Highly recommended.

This was our second time visiting Amarela to celebrate our honeymoon, we spent 10 days here. The staff were amazing, beyond the beautiful surrounds - private beach, pool and art museum. We are most happy with the staff, they bent over backwards to ensure we could enjoy vegan meals and we are so grateful! What we enjoyed during our stay was the peace and quiet and spending our time in the beautiful spaces that the staff continuously maintain. We will always come back to Amarela whenever we visit the Philippines!

Two minor things, the laundry is very expensive - we would recommend going into Alona beach to find a place to do your laundry. Second of all, the bathroom seems a little outdated but this was extremely minor and we didn’t consider this an issue

The hotel is eco friendly and built from local products and is quite special . The pool is delightful, perfect temperature and overlooks gardens and the beach . The outdoor massage was very relaxing. There is a white sandy beach, with basic beds that are adequate. You can walk to a few local bars etc. The rooms are comfortable and the property is spotless. We ate at the hotel the first night and the food was very good. It was a 10 mins tuk tuk ride to Alona beach where we spent the other nights , visiting restaurants and bars . The hotel arranged a private driver for us and we visited Lonoc cruise and Chocolate Hills which was amazing. We really enjoyed our stay .
