"Cannot figure out how this hotel could get a high rating"

The inch-thick carpets that infest the rooms are impossible to clean and seem to harbor colonies of dust mites, which triggered a severe allergy. It is appalling to think that hordes of previous guests must have trampled over them wearing the same shoes they use outdoors. Housekeeping is erratic—I had to complain to have the room cleaned daily, as it was initially scheduled only every other day. Breakfast is barely acceptable, and the restaurant is mediocre.

The vent blowing cold air was pointed directly at our bed. Made sleeping a challenge for my husband and me.
