Nottoway Plantation Resort

Fantastic staff, with extra special care if my 76 year old mother. It was a wonderful experience for us!

My sister and I have always wanted to stay at a plantation. We loved it. The cottage was great. A few minor things, but nothing that hindered our stay. We would definitely stay there again.

Should have free visit to plantation with stay.

It was a unique setting and made me reflect on the history or the South and the struggles of the slaves in those days.

Very beautiful and peaceful place. We didn’t want to have to leave the property, and luckily the restaurant had excellent three meal choices. We also weren’t looking for nightlife, shopping, etc. and enjoyed the low key atmosphere. Very friendly staff and they went out of their way to help us with some little things. I highly recommend.

Food served for Dinner was great, however could do with a few details addressed, had to ask for cutlery, table cloth marked, no side plates given for the bread. breakfast was over priced, our room was not cleaned properly. Upon arrival we found hairs in the fridge and there was also large damp marks on the ceiling

Étions parkés avec d’autres résidents dans un petit immeuble au fond du jardin . La vue des chambres étaient loin d’etre paradisiaque... et tondeuse à 8h15 pour le réveil ! Sinon le resto était bien sympa et les vues extérieures de la maison également

When we arrived, the front desk person told us they did not have our reservation. Despite, showing her my Hotels.com confirmation email, we were unable to get the room we originally reserved in the Cottage House. We were told that room was no longer available. She explained that this sometimes happens with third party bookings. Fortunately, she did honor our original quoted pricing. We were placed in the only room available with two double beds in the Carriage House. Although the room was nice, it was not the room we originally booked. Our overall stay was nice and the grounds were beautiful, however, the check-in process pretty much soured our first impression. When we checked out, the front desk person told us they could not print or email the receipt. She explained that since they forecasted hurricane Barry, which never made landfall, their computer system has not been working properly. She offered to take a picture of her computer screen, using my phone of course. Despite the plantation grounds being amazingly beautiful, I do not believe I would stay there again.

Absolutely a peaceful experience. Staff was very friendly and food was excellent!!! Went over and beyond to make us all feel welcome.
