Aston Hotel

Good location: not far from historical center, right near metro, close to Moskovsky train central. Very friendly staff. Nice renovated rooms, relatively big.

Very close to the center of the city's heart, Nevsky Street. Friendly hotel personel. Small but conveniant hotels room and good price.

Really lovely stay at this centrally located comfortable hotel. Breakfast was great and rooms very good stayed on 3rd floor and very comfortable, road a bit noisy but only to be expected from very central location. Breakfast great but do not recommend hotel restaurant otherwise. The top floor rooms are not recommended but rest very good indeed.

This hotel is centrally located and within walking distance of many of St Petersburg's attractions. It is very well heated which was appreciated in the bitter cold of a December visit. The breakfast is good and is enough to last you until evening which saves time and money. I would recommend booking a superior room if you can afford it. The rooms on the 5th and 6th floors (with no lift) are smaller and the stairwell in this part of the hotel is depressing partly because it is a fire escape. The Aston would be well advised to spend some money on the common parts on the 5th and 6th floors to make them more attractive. The cleaning products used in the hotel are very perfumed and in the end I found it necessary to put a Don't disturb notice on the door handle to prevent more perfume in my room. The bar has no bar food and service in the restaurant is very slow and overpriced. There is also constant piped music in this room and an overpowering television. However, overall this hotel was a pleasant surprise and I would recommend it. The staff were particularly helpful and cheerful.

Very good place, close to all thinks in St. Petersburg

I stayed for two weeks. I'm used to 3 to 5 star hotels around the world. By NYC standards it would be a 3.5. Generally its in the the 3-4 (4 being kind of a stretch)I stayed on the 6th floor which requires a walk up two stories of steps. The first 4 floors are perfectly fine (I've stayed here before). I think I was put on 6 because of the duration of my stay in SPb's busiest time. You can call the hotel and they will tell you where they are going to put you. I'd say not a problem for younger people. Overall a good value and I would stay there again. Climate control and beds were great.

Not fancy nor plush but comfortable, clean, only few meters from the main avenue and very hospitable. We enjoyed it very much.

Stayed there in end of June. Room is clean, functional, but very small. Expansive compared to Moscow, in the white night season.
