La Casa del Atrio

We stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and it was surprisingly amazing! We were not expecting that much beauty! This is a true gem hidden in downtown Queretaro. The staff was super friendly and helpful. They have a cute bar and restaurant that you cannot miss. We definitely are coming back when we return to Queretaro, super recommended!

We have been staying here for the past 8 years whenever we’re in Querétaro. Every room is uniquely decorated, all the staff are very friendly and speak English, and the atmosphere is very relaxed.

The hotel was very quaint, clean, and decorated in a modern, yet traditional way - so nice! The staff was exceptional - friendly and always willing to be of assistance. The location was great - within walking distance of most everything. The breakfasts were very, very good, and the service was excellent.

The WiFi was spotty, at best, but it did not interrupt our stay at all. The water was only hot if you took a shower at night. I assume this is due to a smaller size water heater that gets more use during the day. The hotel was so charming that we gave allowances for this!

The staff was kind and accommodating. The hotel itself is lovely and charming and we loved the very high ceilinged rooms. It was difficult to cool it down (took most of the day) but the biggest issue was the shower: it took 10 minutes for the hot water to get hot for me and it stopped being hot after 15 minutes. We waited for at least 5 hours until my friend showered but it *never* got hot for her. And the square-shaped rain shower only put water out of about 1/3 of it's available holes. Other than the shower, we loved this place.

This was a beautiful stay. The space is gorgeous and peaceful. Breakfast at an additional, reasonable cost was great. The staff was really warm and helpful. And Monica at reception was delightful. She let us move to a room with more light and sent us her list of favorite places. An additional bonus is the fantastic restaurant Tikua next door.

The first luxury room we checked into had a skylight instead of a window, which was important to us. Monica let us move to a room with a window. If that is something you care about, you should inquire when you make your reservation.

Staying here was an authentic immersion into Colonial Mexico. Great location. Wonderfully helpful staff.

Good location in Centro. 24 hours staff on duty. Spa on upper level. Lots of patio space.
