APA Hotel Hiroshima Ekimae

Great location from Hiroshima Station. Bathroom had a smell. Blankets were either too hot or too cold, 1 pillow. TV and other available amenities were great.

The hotel is very clean. It is quite near the JR train.

My room had an incredible view overlooking the rivers of Hiroshima. The staff were friendly and accomadating.

Wonderful

If you have to stay at an APA hotel in Hiroshima, go to the new one across the river from here. This property is old and tired and cramped (even by APA standards, which are walk-in closet sized to begin with). The newer properties this chain offers are much better (for the same price). Hallways are dim and unlit. As you open the window to get some fresh air, the sewage smells wafting in from the river are the last straw. Close to Hiroshima station. As always for Japan, staff is crisp and polite.

You get what you pay for. Bath is positively tiny. You hear your neighbors coming back late. Hotel works if you're not staying longer than a day (as salary men do when they miss their trains) but not a great spot for longer stays.

We got corner rooms, therefore spacious. Our refrigerator didn't work, so they changed rooms the next night. It's relatively close to the train station, with shopping close by as well.
