Azul del Mar

Azul is a best kept secret in Key Largo. Very private with just 6 or 7 rooms, on the bay side with bay views from some of the units. You can get a decent price during the off season, while there’s still good diving in September/October. The girls at the desk are very helpful. We had a dive trip in the afternoon on the day we arrived, but it was too early to check in. The girls offered to take our cold items into the refrigerator in the room once it was cleaned and ready. Kayaks and bikes are available for free use at the property. Overall, very good rooms with excellent staff.

The room was tidy and cozy. Perfect for a quick 2 night stay. The room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. Communication was top-notch!

The place doesn't look anything like the online photos, dark, abandoned and full of mosquitoes all the time, there's no one in the office and the pool in the online photos doesn't exist.

I liked being able to register via phone before my arrival. The fact that it had keyless entry to our room was a nice idea. Would definitely stay here again.

Very nice hotel, great location. My first time kayaking was here and the small cove they have is calm and perfect to paddle around until you get comfortable

The lighting needs to be improved as the kitchen is very dark. There was a battery operated light under a cabinet, but it wasn’t working. Also, the shower had very poor water flow - the hand held shower head hose was too short. Other than those items, the place was very beautiful, picturesque and nice and quiet. The check in, checkout process was awesome

It was a charming stay. I loved the small, intimate feel the location gave. The only downfall is the thin walls; we could hear the kids next door playing all night. Other than that, the place is beautiful and has a homey feel.

Beautiful cozy beach access with access to kayaks and paddleboards. Beautiful sunset. Cute, clean room. Would have liked access to filtered drinking water. I think a water filling station would have been a great advantage. Also, management is not readily available. Left a message to receive some help with our entrance door, which wasn't working properly. Never received a call back.

The place is small and cozy, making early check-in nearly impossible. Unfortunately, our stay coincided with a rainy weekend. We stayed in the Aquamarine room, which was spacious and featured a king-size bed so comfortable you’ll want to stay in it all day. Be sure to bring insect repellent, as the mosquitoes are quite intense. The air conditioning and shower could be improved, the water pressure was very low, and it took a while to heat up. Overall, it was a pleasant stay.
