Val d'Or Estate

Un véritable joyau de verdure. Tout est bien pensé pour notre confort. Les chambres sont très spacieuse avec salle de bain très grande et séparée. Un très bel endroit pour refaire ses forces après une semaine de Safari.

Il serait vraiment bien d'éclairer l'entrée du domaine car, de nuit, on rate la route pour entrer. Difficile à repérer de nuit.

After reading some reviews we were a bit concerned. The room we had (owners suite) was large, comfortable and very clean. The small swimming pool just outside was lovely. The breakfast was fine and the staff very friendly and helpful. The grounds were interesting with great selection of plants and the main swimming pool was clean and pleasant. As with many other reviews the main downside is the general lack of maintenance around the place. Part of our group stayed in a large self contained house which had broken tiles all over the patio area. I think that the lack of staff after hours and no security was an issue for some of our party. Having said that we liked the general atmosphere of the place and would stay again.

Having first stayed there in 2016 I think some areas are now in need of an upgrade. The sofa, the cushions Cracked tiles on patio etc. The pool area is in need of sunshades Also security at night could be tighter ! Having travelled extensively in s Africa not particularly cheap in comparison

Der Pool und das Frühstück. Das Personal hat beim servieren des Frühstücks an den Tisch dreckige Kleidung getragen, das war wirklich nicht schön.

We loved the location and the room here. The breakfast was also lovely and the staff were very friendly.

It could have been a bit cleaner, especially around the pool!

De locatie en de tuin

Badkamer is sterk verouderd. Je moet de temperatuur van het water zelf met twee kranen (lekkende kranen) regelen. Het duurt heel lang voor je de juiste douche temperatuur hebt.
