Amazing location in the middle of nowhere. Quiet. Uniqe stone housing that blended into the environment. Plenty of birds, lizards and hyraxes around the main area.

Just some information on the conditions of the road to get there would have been nice. Choose a high clearence vehicle to come. Not a problem, but nice to know before you go.

"Secluded stay in Rocky Kagga Kamma"

A beautiful, secluded reserve in the heart of the Karoo. Excellent food with friendly and helpful staff.

The room - cave room, was just too small but understandable in view of it being built into the mountainside. Interesting experience.

The caves were lovely. The restaurant staff were fantastic.

Was not prepared for the fact that the guided drives were extra R500 per person. We stayed at Irene Country Lodge in Johannesburg and Protea Hotel Waterfront for €150 a night. So to pay €400 per night with no guided drives included is very, very expensive. Especially when there is no game to view, only plants and rock art.
