Hotel Riu Plaza Panama

This hotel is nice but not as nice as it looks from photos. There was mold on the ceiling in a hallway, it took forever to get to the higher up rooms, and one of the servers picked his own tip instead of letting us choose so be careful. There are 2 sets of elevators so I recommend trying to get a room on a lower floor because those elevators come more often. We waited a long time very time we tried to go up or down to our room and the elevator jumped once and then broke luckily letting us out first. The breakfast buffet was included and good. The lunch buffet was not very good and was overpriced but it did include free alcoholic drinks which was nice. The staff was very friendly.

I really enjoyed the value at this hotel. The location is great, the restaurant had really good food and the breakfast buffet can't be beat.

I enjoyed my stay at Riu it was exactly what I needed for this trip. It was very centrally located so we got Ubers easily and the hotel was very clean. The beds were clean and comfortable and housekeeping keep the room maintained everyday. The breakfast was filling there was so many options and it tasted great. I must give a special shout out to Edison who took such great care of me every morning at breakfast. He was attentive, very friendly and made sure I always had what I needed. Riu also remembered my friend’s birthday and gave her a small cupcake and fruit which was a nice touch. Overall I highly recommend this hotel they are a reliable trusted hotel that has maintained a great standard. 10s all across the board

we enjoyed our stay. Everything was great from check in to room cleaning to breakfast. We didn't experience any issues at all. Breakfast was a great value but my recommendation would be to go there earlier as it gets quite busy with lines closer to 9-10 am and you may not even get a coffee service.

We loved the hotel and the breakfast and even the restaurant near the pool. Very happy overall with our experience.

Viewing the hotel online and being there myself was a pleasant surprise. The hotel always has a fresh scent, it's clean and well kept. The rooms are attended to daily and pleasant to the eye. The air-conditioning system is great. The only thing we had hoped for, was that we had a few juices in the mini refrigerator. However, that did not take away from our trip. We were very satisfied.

My stay at RIU was extremely great, great food, great service and clean facilities and a friendly smile that goes a long by each staff member

I’m going to give this hotel 5 stars ⭐️ for many reasons As a solo female traveler this hotel was my safe haven . I felt safe in this area My room was comfortable with a floor to ceiling window. Black out curtains for good sleep , air conditioning ( had to ask for a blanket) a free use of safe , coffee machine and a fridge. The tv had a few channels in English. The bathroom was clean and had a great shower providing shower gel and conditioner. If I had to give a star rating for staff , it would unfortunately give only 2 stars ⭐️ and that was down to friendly receptionists and Ronaldo the very helpful and caring bellboy. I found the staff in restaurant and pool bar to be a little unfriendly which made me feel unvalued. If there was more smiles then I would have given more stars The pool area was very clean and inviting. Towels can be found with a man at side of the bar Please be mindful of the prices of beverages at the pool bar was I was charged more that the price list that advertised the product. The hotel has a trips and tours desk outside foyer. I went on the Canal tour which was very good . The only place to smoke is outside of reception. Breakfast is plentiful. As a vegetarian, I did ok with the fresh fruit and eggs . However one morning there was a sign for a sweet potato dish but it was in fact some sort of pork . This is a mistake that I would not expect from a Riu hotel chain . The hotel is situated in between a KFC and a Macdonalds . 12 mins walk to a Rey supermarket and 12 min walk to Cinta Costera . I used Uber to get from airport and the get to the causeway ( $4) airport was about $20 and was excellent. I bought a SIM card from the airport for $30 and the lady set it all up for me. A big thank you again to Mr Rolando in the lobby . Uber is a very good was to travel around Panamá city

Rui Plaza Panama was amazing! The view of the city was incredible! The service was great! 10/10 The staff were very pleasant and extremely helpful. The buffet was wonderful, a wide variety I enjoyed the local fruits and they were delicious!

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The hotel is very clean, staff responsive to your needs and centrally located to access to many attractions. The food is that good = 100%.
